Short article on Yahoo claiming that he has signed an extension for 2-3 ( ?) years? Apparently at the same time, TV has been extended at the Giants?

Good for him. The most consistently above average coach Arkansas has had for two decades and counting.

DVH signed an extension through 2031 and got a raise to $2.1M/year

Not sure where you’re seeing Vitello was extended by the Giants. Buster Posey just said he wasn’t getting fired this year. He signed a 3 year deal. Not getting fired early isn’t getting extended

Anytime he is in Omaha, without LSU, I will root for him. He deserves a title, just like Ron Polk. Polk especially, he and Skip built SEC baseball.

Good for sec baseball. Wins enough to keep Arkansas relevant and boost opponents RPI but not enough to be concerned as a title threat.

A&M's entire existence in every sport summed up in a short phrase.

So a rookie that's pitched maybe six innings in the bigs gives up a homer to one of the leading NL MVP candidates sucks? Point on the doll to where the man touched you.

Mea Culpa. But that's why I questioned it.

2025 was DVH's last chance at a CWS title.

You could definitely tell.

I bet Tony V wants that job eventually, assuming UTk's coach doesn't get canned in the next couple of years.

Tony V ultimately wants the LSU job...

It was the main reason he left the SEC.

Well, Jay Johnson is young, has no kids, and is at the best job in America. He's only leaving for the MLB and Tony V's "success" might be giving him some hesitation there.

You forgot the part where Jay has won 2 CWS titles in his 5 years at LSU...

Meanwhile, DVH has 0 CWS titles in 20+ years at Piggy

Rumor is that the extension was part of a big money flow into the baseball program. As close as they are almost every year, won’t take much more to cement the dynasty.

He'd be certifiable if he left for MLB.

I bet Tony V coming available would change arkansas path

I think Vitello likely resurfaces again at Texas A&M when he comes back

I'm hoping Vitello's firing and Bianco's retirement line up.
