You're coming off one of your best seasons ever and now looking to make the CFP this year, and State is still on your mind when you wake up each day

Meehhh.

You have to remind your little brother they are still little bitches from time to time, regardless.

You may be right but the success of MSU in baseball, A&M in various sports and Arkansas baseball (won the SEC West again this year), basketball (several elite eights before last season but now with coach Cal and a cast of 5 stars) and pure dominance of track and field should keep us in.

Basketball yes.... Other sports are not money makers. And at this point it is a business. As much as I love college baseball, it makes no sense to invest much into it in the big picture. Not until the revenue sharing etc is figured out.

Or, is there some mechanism in the contracts that allows for this?
When, not if, football breaks away and forms its own league, all existing contracts won’t matter & TV ratings will be the only consideration.

Note to our SEC Bretheren. This is stage 1 of TEX Conference Herpes, where they normalize uneven revenue distribution. Stage 2 will be relocation of SEC HQ to Dallas. Stage 3 penalty for horns down…you were warned.

BJ Honeycutt sounds like a recruit on NCAA 25. Iowa has the inside track thanks to booster Franklin Pierce.

How would they nullify all the contracts?

Is there ever another type of day In Starkville? The title should have just said “Business as Usual in Starkville”.

It’s odd that a fan of a team that just was admitted to the league, and hasn’t played the first game in the conference, would start talking about kicking other charter members out. The SEC isn’t kicking any charter member out, nor any of the newbies.

So, mix a few facts and stir it in a narrative of fiction I guess. I, for one, didn't know Mississippi State had only been playing football since Jackie Sherrill was coach and that the greatest moment in program history wasn't in 1940 or beating undefeated Bama (fair and square) in 1980, winning the West in 1998, or even being #1 in 2014. It was beating Ole Miss in 2022. That is amazing journalism. The time and research must have destroyed this man's body clock.

No one cares what A&M fans think about the conference lineup. You are a glorified guest, playing SEC football on an expired visa and not even the most relevant Texas school in the conference anymore.

So pipe the frick down and know your god damn place.
