This cracks me up because probably about 80% of the SEC Rant is to young to even remember the SEC without Arkansas.

screw Texas. Let em go independent. That's what they want anyway. They don't give a shite about the conference.

I'm with ^ this guy.

Here's what's going to happen, everything we love about college football is going to be slowly ruined by people wanting superconferences, and parity, and playoffs, and "fair" play, and equal money. I know that sounds stupid, but the imperfections of the college game is part of what makes it great. I don't want a mini NFL. I hate the NFL.

I know this is all about money but Texas is not the South, let alone the Southeast. I do not want A&M, UT, OU or any of those schools in the SEC......ever

I would be vehemently opposed to any expansion that includes the University of Texas.

I don't hate the Longhorns per se, but I think they're a poison pill for any conference to swallow.

Texas needs to be independent. That's where their head is atm, bottom line.

If Texas goes Indy(see TV) A&M will be in the SEC.
If the Big 12 goes under A&M,OU,OSU will be in.
Then watch VT

Although UT will be financially sound either way with the ESPN deal, IMO Texas has backed itself into a corner in terms of their available options. Before the ESPN/LHN deal, they could have pretty much picked their conference. Now,they've only really got two options going forward:

1. Go independent

2. Keep the Big12-2 alive and kicking.

Texas makes the most money by getting both - independece within the Big12 (as is currently). But that won't last and they'll be forced to go independent, although it's not what they really want.

I'd be pretty disappointed as an LSU if Alabama or Auburn moved to the East.

I don't mind if they add to the current divisions, I just don't any current SEC teams to switch divisions.

Any theorized A&M move that doesn't involve Tech & Baylor just isn't happening......

Tech and Baylor are not SEC worthy. A&M, UTa, & OU will make the SEC even more of a dynasty than what it already is.

He just thought that since the East has sucked so bad lately that the two weakest links over there would just drop out and play in the Gulf South Conference or something...

Love it.

Bring in Texas and Oklahoma and forget the rest of college football because the SEC will have all the talent...FACT!

SEC doesn't need Texas....if A&M comes, we can accomplish our goal without the drama that Texas brings.
