AU fans really had no reason to be mad with him...until now. If not Sheridan, it would be someone else. IF it was true. The guy has had weeks to clear this with his lawyers. The #1, clear cut, cannot be beat defense to a libel/defamation claim is TRUTH. If it was true, DS would have nothing to worry about. The fact of the matter is that this is the same thing as that radio frick with the tapes that turned out not to exist. It was all about the build up...all about keeping Auburn in the news negatively.
Funny, that this announcement that turned out not to be an announcement at all happened and was scheduled for the exacty minute that Geno Smith was scheduled to announce.
