Craig willed Auburn to the SECCG in 1997. He was a good QB but was short and wasn’t a pocket passer. The NFL takes chances on guys like that now, but didn’t back then. He, and the rest of Dye’s last recruits, left after that year, and Auburn fell off the cliff and Baby Bowden got the boot.
