We might be ahead if we would have kept those runners on first. Who did the scouting on their catcher?

The home run that Texas gave up to Ohio St. today is the first home run of the year against Texas pitching.

Of course, Texas hasn't played anyone yet so this is meaningless.

I get being aggressive but against this catcher being a bit conservative would be the better option.

We've lost 3 on the base paths. UCLA has lost 2. Not a good tape for teaching base running.

Speaking of undefeated teams.....

The 1977 Texas Longhorns baseball team holds an NCAA record 34-game winning streak to start a season. Running from February 18 to March 25, the streak saw the team go undefeated until a 4-3 loss to Rice in 14 innings. This remains a premier Division I record for consecutive wins to start a season.

Florida Atlantic University tied this record 22 years later, from February 19 to April 17, 1999.

UCLA is legit. They will beat State as well. As for the conference? Who gives a frick about that? Only losers root for the “conference”

I guess I’m a loser then because I want all the SEC teams to win. It only helps all of us when it comes time to seed.

As they should be. Msu is solid. This is the first time I’ve seen them play this year and I’m impressed.

Strange to see Gasparino in blue.

Not strange to see him chasing balls way outside the zone.
