The Tenn hire is so bad, it's actually already ran it's news cycle and people are bored of it now. It's amazing.

It will get a second wind when they trot out some coordinator and pretend he is a splash hire that makes this whole shitshow worth it.

Fulmer turned it into a reality series, then he swoops in and cans the AD and takes the job himself.

Ask Johnny Majors about Phat Phil.

When the NCAA is criticizing your handling of things, and the consensus is that they do have room to talk, you know things are going badly.

At this point, it is probably better that they slow their roll and take their time. If they panic there is not telling what they will get.

Emmert shouldn't be talking about any individual institution. The NCAA is as corrupt as the govt.

COMPLETELY. FALSE.

Again, stop pretending you have any clue what is going on in Knoxville. You're just a clueless message board loser with 50,000+ posts.

Seeing on other message boards that Pruitt turned down the job offer.
The reason (and not sure if true or false) is Philipotumus wanted Pruitt not to coach in play off game. Wanted him now.

A leopard can't change its spots.

Remember when Phats stabbed Johnny Majors in the back.

quote:

The relationship between Majors and Fulmer, 67, has been tumultuous for many years.

It began in 1992 when Majors, who had been the Vols football coach since 1977, underwent heart surgery. Fulmer, his offensive coordinator at the time, was named the interim coach.

quote:

Fulmer led the Vols to a 3-0 record while Majors recovered.

After Majors returned Tennessee went 5-3.

At the end of the season Majors was forced to resign and Fulmer replaced him.

ESPN reported in 2005 that Majors took a poke at Fulmer while Majors was speaking to a group in Arkansas.

"I don't pull against those players up there," Majors said at the time. "But I don't have any regard for Judas Brutus, who's coaching up there."

Here’s a question no one wants to answer.

How did we know every candidate Currie talked to and how was there a movement afoot to squash each of those hires and now that Phil is the AD, information is being released in an orderly controlled fashion and there’s no movement afoot to squash each of them?
