Every day that passes, more is coming to Austin. That growth continues to trample what Austin used to be.
That said, if you have disposable income, it's not a bad place to hang out. If you have some measure of fame or notoriety, getting comped any place in town has a very different meaning in Austin than most "college towns".
Being the dig dick at Moody Center w/ a season suite to world class music & entertainment probably has some appeal to the missus. Or maybe you prefer some other outdoor sports.
