At what point do we see Ty Evans move up in the lineup?
7-16, 4 HRs, 2B, 5 RBIs, 6 Rs in 5 games in Omaha.

No idea, but that can sometimes put pressure on a hitter which makes them press.

I have to say, not too many teams get to watch the bottom of the lineup with as much hope as we are right now

Beloso is a gator killer. He’s made big hit after big hit.

Oh looky there, a missed pop-up

I managed to catch yesterday's game when it was 15-3. I couldn't believe UF kept piling on. I suppose LSU decided to hold their better pitchers for today's game after it turned into a blowout.
I'm still convinced LSU is going to win this whole thing. Florida better hope their luck doesn't run out after finding all the missing runs for every team in the entire CWS.

I’d move him to 6. He’s been having the best ABs on the team lately.

But what does he hit when the wind doesn’t push his foul balls back fair and his 270 foot pop ups over the outfield wall?

Hurd is starting tonight.

Umps may get death threats tonight If these fricked up strike zones cost someone a natty

I think it his the shaky bad ump tonight also.

Yup. Just saw Jacques Doucet tweet it out.
Makes sense.
Only way we win this is if the bats wake up early and often. Quit leaving men on base.
If nothing else, it will motivate our pitchers.

Wow. Interesting. So Hurd is confirmed?

I like the decision TBH. Skenes may have had trouble getting the velocity on short rest.
And maybe he could give an inning or just come in during a crucial point in the game. Him getting the velocity would be easier if he only had to throw 25 pitches

Chat GPT's take:
On the diamond's stage, where legends collide,
A battle is set, hearts swelling with pride.
University of Florida, led by Jac Caglianone,
And LSU's Paul Skenes, a star yet unknown.
Jac Caglianone, a pitcher of grace,
With fire in his arm, determination in his face.
He stands on the mound, ready to ignite,
The Gators' hopes, shining so bright.
Paul Skenes, a phenom, his talent renowned,
His pitches a symphony, precise and profound.
He takes the hill, with a confident flair,
The Tigers' hopes, carried on the air.
Fastballs and sliders, Caglianone's repertoire,
With every pitch, he aims to leave a scar.
His eyes locked on the catcher's glove,
He unleashes his power, fierce as a dove.
Skenes responds with a masterful might,
His changeup dances, curves take flight.
His focus unyielding, his pitches refined,
A force to reckon, in the batter's mind.
The crowd in awe, witnessing the duel,
As both hurlers showcase their remarkable fuel.
Caglianone's breaking ball, a mesmerizing spell,
While Skenes' fastball, a tale to tell.
Batters approach, with hopes to connect,
But the pitchers are resolute, they won't neglect.
Strikeouts and groundouts, they tally with pride,
As the innings pass, the tension's amplified.
Each pitch is a battle, a test of might,
Between Caglianone and Skenes, their will ignites.
The dugouts roar, the fans cheer with might,
In this College World Series, a breathtaking sight.
As the sun sets, painting the sky in gold,
The game hangs in balance, the story yet untold.
Who will emerge victorious, in this clash of fate?
The answer unfolds, as innings accumulate.
But beyond the rivalry, a mutual respect,
Between two warriors, their talents intersect.
For in this noble game, they share a connection,
A love for baseball, the ultimate reflection.
In the matchup of Florida and LSU's best,
Caglianone and Skenes put skills to the test.
A battle for glory, etched in the hearts,
Where legends are born, and greatness imparts.
No matter the outcome, their names will be heard,
In the annals of history, their stories assured.
For on this hallowed diamond, where dreams unite,
Two pitchers transcend, under the spotlight.
So let the matchup commence, the duel unfold,
Between Caglianone and Skenes, fearless and bold.
May their pitches dance, their spirits prevail,
In this College World Series, an unforgettable tale.

I turned to ESPN and saw LSU was down 13-3 and I thought they were getting their arse kicked again, LOL. Took me a moment to figure out it was a replay.
