It’s openly the P2 now. ACC & Big 12 have been relegated.

You have to remember Ole Miss went 11-2 last season, returns their starting QB and got stronger and deeper position by position via the portal on both sides of the ball. I'm just not sure where you expected them to be ranked ? Around 20th ? I don't think there's 6 teams in the SEC better than the Rebels on paper and there would have to be in order to justify ranking them that low.

No question. Deep down they’re concerned.

They opened a season in the top 10 against wake forest...got beat by two scores

*sigh* We were unranked when we played Wake Forest in Snead's first season and lost by a field goal on the last play of the game....why just outright lie?

Trying to remember the last time Ole Miss had this kind of preseason pressure on them.

Even the year they melted down against Arkansas with a shot at Atlanta on the line I don’t think they were preseason #5.

That would be 2009 when they were preseason top 5, and got beat by SC . The "birth of sandstorm" . Dexter McCluster was good and you had a good QB that year, but our defense was too much

Are they?

Arizona lost to Mississippi State last year. They also lost to the only ranked Pac 12 team they faced (#2 Washington). They went 2-1 in their 3 games against 5-4/8-5 Pac 12 unranked teams (their next toughest IC games).

The only real win of note they had was beating OU in the bowl, but in today's setup bowl wins are less telling about how good the teams were in the regular season than they were before.

I honestly think Arizona is likely to have whatever the opposite of a bounce back season is called (a "gravity returns" kind of season).

Fafita was thrown in as a true freshman after their starter got hurt, and he got better literally every game.

Fisch did some weird shite in the USC game, and frankly they should've won that game.

Their defense got better and better as the year went on.

Trust me, by end of year, THAT team could've given Washington or Oregon both a run for their money in Vegas.

They started off #8 in 2009, but moved to #5 in week two and #4 in week three (before losing to South Carolina). They beat Arkansas by 2tds that year, so that probably isn't the one you are thinking of.
