lol at calling 16 year old kids professional

They aren’t 16.

They are and were being paid, therefore they are professional.

The boy that youre talking about started playing professional when he was 16.

You do realize kids get paid in HS now right?

Some of them were paid older than the example you provided.

How does that undermine anything that’s been discussed? It’s a pro league from a legal standpoint and Nate Oats isn’t changing any of it.

And to be crystal clear I didn’t come into this thread celebrating this court ruling, I was pointing out how it was or is one of the final nails in the concept of amateur collegiate athletics.

Auburn roster last year was older than like 20% of NBA franchises

But they were not professionals. Same thing Indiana did in football.

Yeah well it's not like they have European "college". Sure they stick. Those all stars in Serbia or wherever would probably fill D2 squads in America.

From a legal standpoint the NCAA says you're wrong and I hope yall play the G league player then become ineligible for the postseason.

Naturally, based on the precedent that Oats is trying to force.

It no longer matters. Failed NBA players will be back to play for NIL soon enough.

College sports isn't college sports anymore.

Not the big 3 sports anyway.

Bama fans cry the loudest about how the new wild Wild West of the portal and the NIL are ruining college sports… then they go and do this. Spare us the complaints in the future please.

Tua is about to be out of a job. I wonder if we can bring him back?

I’m a Bama fan and grad, but this move is ridiculous.

Not sure what mythical bama fan you've created here, but I think it all sucks and this guy shouldn't be on the roster. Local judges making decisions like this is fricking ridiculous.

The NCAA should have every right to regulate as it see's fit. But now it's all up to the state because nobody gives a frick about freedom anymore.

I think the potential pool of G League returners who have not already run out the clock on their college eligibility is not as large as most people think.

All they have to do is get a judge to agree that the eligibility clock kept them from earning their value under NIL and it will go bye bye too.
