Can Randy Sanders and his band of hill people give Rocky Top the final push off the top of Clingmans Dome and establish a new order in East Tennessee college football?

Shakespeare himself could not have versed it better.

The overlap of ETSU/Tennessee people would cause thousands to spontaneously combust.

Not to derail the thread but this has always fascinated me. Like many SEC fans, not everyone attended or graduated from the school they root for (nothing wrong with that IMO) but if you are an ETSU grad, do you feel anytime of pride if they pull off the crazy upset. Even ETSU grads that grew up rooting for the Vols?

I'm guessing it would easier with Tennessee already being a dumpster fire and this being year 1 for Pruitt and all that. Also, the fact that ETSU's current and historical roster has been deeply rooted with Northeast Tennessee high school football players would cause a lot of pride, as Tennessee's traditionally isn't (with good reason). Football people up there fought to bring that program back and have some pride in it.

Probably similar to a lot of the Georgia Southern/Georgia feels that happened a few years ago.

Why is there a pic of another teams stadium right behind Shannon at his presser?
The aerial shot with the Toppers endzone? My guess is that's the Science Hill High School stadium. ETSU played there the first couple of years while the new on campus stadium was being built. Could be the first ETSU game played there, so the first game after the program was restarted.

It rarely ever happens but we get so many chances of magic taking place each year.

Yep - crazy thing is they both built new stadiums within like 10 years of eachother, with both being relatively the same size.

Tipton Stadium (SHHS) - 6,600, built 2010

William Greene Stadium (ETSU) - 7,694, built 2017

They are 3 miles from each other. Spurrier gave Science Hill a pretty big chunk of change to build their new stadium if I remember correctly.
