I think it's quite plausible given how strong the league is right now.
What would need to happen is Miami would need to be good to prop up LSU's SOS and three of Ohio State/Oklahoma/Clemson/Notre Dame will need to flop.

Who gets left out if not?

Reverse the UGA-LSU results.
Then you get the two repeaters from last year's CFP with only one loss, and an "upstart" (not really, but you get my point) that has the SEC title.
Now tell me which one gets left out.

Clemson has a similar schedule to Wisconsin this year, and everyone saw that even struggling against someone had them on the outside looking in.

It's impossible for LSU to win out, they still have State on the schedule

I think LSU fans need to take a couple steps back.

No.
In this highly unlikely hypothetical LSU would be left out and Alabama would go in their place.
They have the voter bias and LSU would have lost their last game. Assuming there were two other deserving teams the SEC representatives would be Bama and UGA

Not with that schedule.

You are going to be a traitor if you believe your scenario is the best one!

By the time we play Bama we will be clicking on all cylinders. Seven point win for LSU. Georgia loses by 2 TD's in Tiger Stadium.

LSU isn’t sniffing top 10 come years end. Get out of here with this homer bullshite

No way LSU is beating Bama. They may get a few breaks and pull off an upset over Georgia. However, if they can’t beat Bama at home they don’t deserve it. Just my opinion.

That is not the way coach O would say! You got to ride the coach O expectation to the end! Or you are not a true LSU fan!

I just posted the scenario that would give 3 SEC teams the best argument to get in, nothing to do with likelihood of it occurring. Stay salty.
