And I'm guessing that a person who makes jokes about a man's accidental death--hours from its occurrence--isn't too concerned.

That casket honors the young man, Friend. Don't be one of those types who puffs his chest as if you just took a dish of goulash to his survived by's.

Thanks for that poignant comment.
Your parents failed.
And this is the second fatal accident on a construction site at TAMU this year.
Basically, big construction companies are competing with pretty low-ball figure estimates for jobs. Thus, they have to find cheap labor and make them hurry to get the job done with as little overage as possible. Mistakes are usually the result.
If this was a worker at the site, then, while I am sure the family would appreciate poignant sympathetic comments, they would much rather want to know why it happened, whether it was just crappy luck, or if something could have been done to prevent it.

Texas A&M is a huge university (more than 3x the size of the SEC town in which I currently reside); and Texas is a very, very, large state.
Both have multiple, enormous projects currently in the works.
Unfortunately, accidents are going to happen on large construction sites.
They'll figure out exactly what went wrong.
Your comment--being that you don't have the slightest clue what actually occurred--seemed misguided & premature.

Texas A&M University officials confirmed that Angel Garcia, 25, was the man who died Tuesday afternoon after falling four stories at the Kyle Field construction site.
Several media agencies reported the confirmation around 4 p.m. Tuesday citing an OSHA spokesperson, who said they were investigating a fatal accident at the university.
Texas A&M University spokesman Steve Moore confirmed Garcia's identity in a press statement released early Tuesday evening. Garcia, an employee with the Dallas-based company Lindamood Demolition, fell from the fourth level of the northeast end of the stadium. Moore said Garcia was taken to St. Joseph hospital.

I worked construction for many years. I know the danger those folk face every day. Very sad
Im certain OSHA is all over that place right now.

Sucks. Apparantly happened while demolishing the circular side ramps. There's a video circulating of what appears to be the victim falling caught on Kyle construction cams...
