For the young, 3 year old decade of the 2020s, he has;
1. Bama 2. Ohio st 3. UGA

Uh, ok. So, UGA has won 2 of the 3 season NCs, beat both of those teams along the way, and we're ranked #3 behind them? I didn't read all the ridiculous math behind his rankings, maybe someone can explain it to me, but I'm actually embarrassed for this guy for putting something like this out there for someone who actually claims to be a professional journalist.

1. Why didn't you post the link so someone could possibly "read all the math behind his ridiculous rankings"? 2. Why do you need his validation, you've won 2 Championships in a row and played for a 3rd all in the last 5 years. It's been a solid run. I think most Ohio state fans would change places with you.

Why even rank the 2020s after only three seasons but if you do it's Georgia and then Bama. Osu isn't even the third best team of the 2020s

Gees dude, "need his validation"? Did I say anything about validation? I was just pointing out how stupid his rankings were, it has nothing to do with validation.

Why count this season, it hasn't happened yet? But after we win 3 NCs this decade, I wonder if Bama will still be ranked ahead of us in this guy's ranking?

Doesn't put nearly enough weight on NC's. UGA should easily be #1 this decade.

And I'm sure most in front of LSU in the 2000's would trade hardware with us.

decade is different years than the 2020s. That is why he calls is out in the article as 2020s

S/B

1) UGA
2) Bama

Not sure how Ohio St plays into any equation.

They shouldn’t figure in at all. The “big”10 schedule alone should rule them out

By reading the explanation, he goes by where all the teams ranked each year of the time span. And the ranking for the team is reached by adding the offence rankings and the defense rankings for each year.

quote:

Five best teams: 2020 Alabama (99.7), 2022 Georgia (99.4), 2021 Georgia (99.3), 2022 Michigan (98.9), 2022 Alabama (98.9)

Five best offenses: 2020 Alabama (99.9), 2020 Ohio State (99.2), 2021 Ohio State (98.8), 2021 Alabama (98.7), 2020 Florida (98.7)

Five best defenses: 2021 Georgia (99.0), 2022 Iowa (98.9), 2022 Georgia (98.5), 2020 Iowa (98.4), 2022 Illinois (98.4)

Alabama's 2020 perfection (and Georgia's 2020 flaws) give the Tide a narrow overall advantage despite Georgia's back-to-back titles. We'll see if that remains the case moving forward.

Word is that Connelly dinged UGA for having a losing record (1-2) to The King of CFB this decade that includes two complete beatdowns where the scoring difference was 82-48 in favor of The King

fricking yea? Count the natties dude.

Only reason the record isn’t even is because Bama couldn’t make the CCG last year.

Ranking the last 3 seasons is a bit silly, but putting UGA behind Bama the last 3 seasons is even sillier.

He’s got Iowa in the top 10, they went 6-2, 10-4, 8-5 and never finished a single season ranked in the top 10..

Fine with me....you can have the award.

I'll take the two natties.

Win-win.

So the decade is 3 years old, UGA has 2 of the 3 titles and they’re….third? Makes sense
