It might not seem like a big deal to some, but from the outside looking in - having UK bowl eligible 5 seasons in a row feels like a big deal. Especially with some of the teams that are missing, as you mentioned

Louisiana State has been bowl eligible every year since the late 90s. However, they decided to not play in 2020 for various reasons.
