Congratulations on a great game. I'm pretty bummed, but hope y'all go far in the playoffs. Good luck.

Thanks! Was a great hard fought game. Both teams definitely deserved to be there. Y'all have a bright future with Venebles. As long as he keeps a good OC he will keep yall very relevant.

Thanks thought OU was going to whip us again, but Alabama pulled it out.

I always secretly wish venables would get fired and Alabama makes a run at him... But guessing everyone thinks that for a DC

lol...indiana will pound that bama arse. Bama wont have the refs on the side this time either as the hoosiers are the new darling.

Wow. I'm probably old enough to be your Daddy, but I guess that's how you yunguns talk. I've been through the ups and downs of OU football, and I'm still man enough to lose with grace, and win with humility. Merry Christmas. I hope Santa brings you that new play station video game that your life revolves around.

He's an Auburn fan you get used to them after a while.

They are in the care about football phase right now with a new coach and basketball looking iffy

From the Tide perspective it was an incredible game, coming back after a horrendous 1st quarter.

The Sooner special teams had been a huge part of the second half of the season 5-1 run and they completely tanked yesterday, something no one foresaw along with two crucial miscues by Mateer. Those two factors were responsible for a 16-20 point turnaround.

As far as the pregame chatter about DeBoer needing this game to keep his job, that is all now moot (FTR I didn't believe it).

The reward for beating OU is a spot in the Rose Bowl.

Love it.

I think OU matches up better against Indiana than The Tide, but I like Bama's chances

Points will be the premium in this one. Mateer is not that guy. Just a thought, on the Sooner QB, your QB coach needs to start working on getting this QB's feet under him. It shows that Oklahoma is not coaching this kid to throw the ball on time and accurately. The ball will go where the feet tell it. Your advantage is defense, but that doesn't go as far as it used to in big games.

What was with all the players' hate during the game? Didn't get that. They were all pissed about us playing them for homecoming too, as if it was an intentional insult, when in reality it was because of schedule shuffling that had to be done to accommodate OK's entrance into the conference.

I know coaches look for ways to motivate, but selling that line to players seemed pretty tacky.

Yeah, but I don't know if we are gonna have a better option than Mateer. I think another issue outside the ones you listed, is our offensive line just ain't very good. They get zero push even against bad teams. Simpson mid-range throws are incredible.
