Awesome. Wish the rest of the sec would bring back wrestling.

This. Title IX killed it in the south, but to be fair, I used this for inspiration more than once in my youth:

That is awesome! I am glad he chose Mizzou over the Olympic training center.

Not every wrestler can play football, but the ones who do are almost always impact guys. Very strong for their size; classic old-style fullbacks and linebackers.

They know a lot about balance and leverage as well. Nice to have in a guard/center.

And they're very tough mentally. So the ones that can play football tend to be good.

Yup, always love ex wrestlers on the line. Our starting center and Nt were both state champs

Our backup QB, Hosick, actually defeated our starting center for the state wrestling title too

That's right. Forgot about that. I wish they would put Hosick at a different position. His odds are long at QB, but I think he could help us somewhere else

Congrats to him. I was there all weekend and he was very impressive. He went after Hefflin all night while Hefflin backed up the whole time. Crazy that this kid is only a freshman. I hope he stays healthy and continues to improve because he is really fun to watch.

The tournament overall was crazy all weekend. Tons of upsets and lots of crazyatches. The team race came down to the wire with Penn St edging out Minnesota for their 4th straight title.
