what happened in the 60's is kind of irrelevant now. Come on now....you havent competed against a good Arkansas team since the turn of the century. What makes you think that will turn around now?

Fine, lets just talk the last 10 years then. Texas has won a NY6 bowl. What has Arkansas accomplished?

I cannot wait for the shock to the systems of both Oklahoma and Texas football programs competitively and their fans to life in the SEC and especially here on tRant.

Yeah you guys were so shocked, shook, and shanked you won your division back to back seasons after your first year, and then fell back to your old ways when Pinkel got run off by a bunch of campus communists.

Literally every year one or more teams shite the bed vs "cupcakes" at the start of the year. Hell even the GOAT Darth Saban lost one early on. Always better to take care of business then not, no one is giving away trophies for it.

Didn't you suck in the Big 12 and then win your SEC division in your first year?

Mizzou's last year in the Big 12 was 8-5.
Their first year in the SEC was 5-7.

they did very well in years 2 and 3 though before settling in to a 5-8 win type team.

While MO had a couple of good teams in 2013 and 2014... that was also the weakest the SEC East has ever been. Normally at least one (if not 2) of UGA/UF/UT are pretty good in the history of SEC divisional play. But in 2013 the three teams were 8-5, 5-7 and 4-8. In 2014 they were 10-3, 7-5 and 7-6 (and frankly UGA's 10-3 was pretty weak including a loss to GT... despite beating Mizzou 34-0.)

Exactly like it was for them in the BIG 12 North after Nebraska, Colorado, and KSU crumbled into irrelevancy. Identical situation, identical results.

They were never "shocked" after joining the SEC (that's horseshite). They were still good enough under Pinkel to win a weakened division who's true powers were down and then get crushed in the CCG just like they did in the BIG 12.

No shout out to Vanderbilt?

On Mizzou, it started ugly but got better

No those PARTICULAR TEAMS may have been weak in those years but the EAST was NOT.

On the contrary, the East was arguably as strong as it's ever been, just not the teams you expected to be strong.

In 2013 SCAR finished #4 Mizzou finished #5, hell even Vandy finished in the top 25 at #24 in the NATION - not just in the EAST - not just in the SEC.

In fact, the East has never been that strong since. The East never again placed 2 teams in the top 5 final AP poll. Only GA alone in 2017, 2019, 2021 and of course 2022

You simply cannot objectively say that the EAST was weak!
