It just passed very close to the MSU campus. Really close. If you know anyone there, call and check on them.

Stay safe in Meridian. Thank God it went north of us in Hickory. Seeing Lauderdale and Clarke is under Tornado Warning now.

There is no way to know that yet, but that is doubtful. The Tuscaloosa tornado in 2011 was an extremely powerful EF-4 tornado that stayed on the ground for several hours.

Get in the hall and put your textbooks over your head!

Praying for no injuries.

I was commenting in the other thread that one of our guys at turkey camp (we've had 2 confirmed tornados including this one pass within a few miles of us) is a volunteer fire and his radio was popping off and he was called out due to damage to homes and trees down in hwy 25 corridor just south of starkville.

Again as I said in other thread, from the sound of it, we may be loading up the machines tomorrow to go help with clean up, but hope that's not the case.

He's a fine meteorologist. He's no Spann- not right now at least- but who is? He's a great guy to have in your corner during severe weather though.

Big pots and pans make good helmets. Get one and shelter in a closet if you can.
