Coaches in all major sports leave for better jobs at suprior programs all the time. This isn't that big of a deal. College Station is not the career destination of anyone, and honest aggies will admit this.

The one thing that aggy has missed in all of this- the one notion that their hivemind cannot comprehend:
Schloss didn’t leave for Austin because of money or contract terms (aggy would match or increase in a second), he left because College Station sucks and he was never a guy who bought into their weirdo cultish ways.
It’s about the people.
It’s hard for those on the outside to really understand just how bizarre a world it is in aggytown. These people are the most insecure dorks on the planets. Look at the posters here.
Consider this- what kind of grown man could sit idly through a yell leader pep rally every week?

His first year at A&M he brought the female dance team to dance on the roof of the dugout between innings (every MLB club and several college teams do something similar). Some of the older season ticket holders were so offended by this disgusting attempt to update the game-day experience, they brought newspapers to open and deliberately hold in front of their faces while the dancers performed.
His daughter was involved somehow, I think she’s a choreographer, and Schlossnagle was PISSED. He called out the fans in the postgame. That should have been the first sign the marriage was doomed.

Gotta give credit where it's due - congrats on your hire. I really didn't believe Schloss would make that kind of move, but I now know that was a misjudgement.
It's pretty unprecedented that a coach at Schloss' level is set to leave for a rival school with the level of success he was able to maintain at a program like A&M.
The fact this was in place for weeks/months with enough time to trickle in to measage boards is pretty unsettling. There's some character issues to air out here with how this has all transpired, but hey, nobody's perfect.
Rivalry reignited I suppose. Congrats again.
