One of the main reasons I cheer for the conference is it makes the overall brand stronger when TV Negotiations are being worked on. Why people would hope that the conference loses or does badly I dont understand. It helps everybody in the end in the respect and dollars categories.

I don't think people mind other conference members winning the bowl games, regular season games, basketball games in the NCAA tourney or regular season. I don't want them winning National Titles in Football and Baseball.

No one GAF what LSU fans want. The fact that they've got the business acumen of a tumorous walnut is pretty much taken for granted. Keep rooting against your brand, retards.

Hmmm so you was happy when Texas and OU was winning national titles in the Big 12?? And you guys recruited up against them?? Yeah. Lets go Texas, beat USC bring home that BCS championship to the big 12.

we are smart enough to realize that when your conference is viewed as being strong it results in benefits for its members.

stronger bowl tie ins (more money)
more tv money
tv exposure
more money means better facilities
the best coaches want in

all of this leads to the best players wanting to play for the best conference

better players with the best coaches means the SEC will stay dominant!

......and the circle of life continues

Unequal revenue sharing in the Big 12.

The SEC is hemorrhaging money right now and it is about to get orders of magnitude more wealthy with the SEC network. It is self sabotage to root against your brand (the SEC). But by all means, focus your rage on Bama instead of the lunatic running your football program into the ground.

Weird to see an aTm fan make a crack like that at Miles, especially since he is the lunatic whose program beat the program you root for?

Yep, all the other conferences hate us. So I love it when anyone in our conference whips up on an OOC, especially Ohio State and USC!

Georgia Tech ain't even from the SEC, not anymore at least, and I was rooting for them against USC. That was a great game.

I actually believe it is rooted in the civil war. The South banded together to fight the rest of the nation. I truly believe that notion is engrained in the southern culture. My 2 cents.

That sentiment has been expressed to Mizzou fans often on SECRant. But doesn't make a lot of sense to me. Missouri had many Southern sympathizers during the Civil War and some very nasty battles with Kansas thugs regarding such.

On the other hand, Rebels kinda like current day Republicans....fighting for a lost cause.

I was pulling for every SEC team in the bowl games!

If this doesn't make your blood boil, you ain't from the South.

Dude, you live in f-ing Frisco, Texas. That's nowhere near being "Southern" as much as you seem to want it to be.

I actually think it has more to do with regional pride. The rest of the nation still views the Southeast as backwards, stupid, and poor. Whenever Southerner whips a yankee at anything, we'll rejoice.

If you think it would have you don't understand how the rest of the country views alabama. They wouldn't even do it for Auburn because luckily most people think it's in GA

If you think it wouldn't then you're either extraordinarily dumb, have a glaring blind spot when it comes to the way the rest of the nation views Louisiana outside of NO or you're completely blinded by your impotent rage toward Alabama. Or you could just be a remarkably ineffective troll.

Either way, you've shown yourself to be a pretty shitty poster, at least as far as this thread is concerned.
