Why not start scheduling 12 high school teams and zero conference games, and the SEC will go undefeated and monopolize the 12 CFP teams?
You just proved the point of the thread. That’s how you win arguments.
Less Conference games = better overall records = inflated rankings

Better competition. And it's not even debatable.

Except when we are playing the best against the best at the end we win championships more that any other conference. Just think how weak that makes your conference when we have cupcakes all year then smack your best at the end!

SEC domination of National Championships proves that your entire argument is invalid.

False. That proves the SEC is top heavy which NO ONE argues. It’s #3 and below where the inflation hits the hardest

Other conferences play more games against worse teams
FIFY
And that's why you guys usually get humiliated in playoff appearances.

Nice cherry pick.
Why is the Big 12 4-1 against the SEC in the most recent bowl games?

That’s 6 or 7 more SEC games than anyone else is scheduling

UGA has played and beaten 5 currently ranked teams. Who in the big 12 has played more?
If the SEC played 9 conference games, half the teams would have one more loss, so your 8-4 ranked teams wouldn't be ranked at 7-5.

The SEC should play 9 games, abolish divisions, and every P4/5 conference should be required to play 2 P4/5 OOC game. There would be more data points to draw from to see who deserves to be in the playoffs.

In this century, the SEC has produced:
- the most national championships
- the most individual teams who have won national championships (thus destroying the “top heavy” allegation)
- the most bowl wins
- the most NFL players (thus proving it is the most talented conference by a wide margin)
- the most Heisman winners
Why is the Big 12 falling to pieces? Why was the Big 12 forced to play each team against each other in the regular season (lest they lose P5 status)? Why is the Big 12’s only playoff team predicted to be throttled by a team historically owned by the SEC (30-11 lol)?
So many SEC players sit out of bowl games (thus depleting their teams) because they are going to the NFL. Big 12 fortunately doesn’t have to suffer that nuisance.

So does the SEC just get lucky in the playoffs? I mean that has to be the case if the rankings for the SEC are overinflated. It's crazy seeing the following playoff records:
SEC 14-5 - .737
ACC 6-6 - .500
Big 10 3-5 - .375
Big 12 0-4 - .000 (ooomph)
Pac 12 1-2 - .333
Independent - 0-1 .000
American - 0-1 .000
If the SEC is overrated in the rankings, one would expect them to lose most of their playoff games instead of having a winning % almost 400% higher than their nearest competitor. Doesn't make sense. And if an unnamed conference were being underrated, don't you think that conference might sniff a single playoff win by now?

Please post your non-conference schedule for each of the past 10 years. Then tell me you had more than nine "tough" games. Then look at nearly every SEC team's non-conference schedule, which is eight conference games and one or more P5 OOC game.
In case you forgot Baylor's OOC schedule each year for the recent past, let me help you out:
2022 - Albany, BYU, Texas State (BYU is usually considered a P5 team)
2021 - Texas State, Texas Southern, BYU
2020 - Louisiana Tech, Houston (no P5)
2019 - Stephen F. Austin, UTSA, RIce (no P5)
2018 - Abiline Christian, UTSA, Duke (Duke is a stretch to call a P5 team 9 our of 10 years)
2017 - Liberty, UT San Antonio, Duke
2016 - Northwestern State, SMU, Rice (no P5)
2015 - SMU, Lamar, Rice (no P5)
2014 - SMU, Northwestern State, Buffalo (no P5)
2013 - Wofford, Buffalo, Louisiana Monroe (no P5)
2012 - SMU, Sam Houston State, Louisiana Monroe (no P5)
In summary, Baylor's non-conference schedule is about as weak as you can get. So what are you saying is unfair?

First of all, we don't make our scheduling decisions based on what other conferences think or do.
Secondly, get back to us after your 2 best teams play Bama and Michigan Saturday.

We've proven we're the premier conference on the field, so we don't have to care if we play 8 or 9 conference games.

Actually they would just drop the OOC P5 matchups to ensure an extra win.

Why does Baylor schedule Air Force for a bowl game

Does a bleeding vagina come with B12 membership?
It'd explain a whole lot.

You're more than welcome to take Texas A&M and Missouri back and keep Texas and Oklahoma.
