Please give your thoughts, and are we gonna have a serious discussion about removing members, or are we just gonna share our money with everyone..

What makes this conference great is the fact that we have revenue sharing... whats makes the Big12 a shite show is the fact that they dont...

The problem we have is that the SEC is already the top conference. Big 10 is close but after that it’s no one. The ACC is garbage. There has to be a want amongst all people who follow the sport to follow all the power 5 conferences. Another issue is the schedules. Florida could make the ACC title game. The college football playoff system is flawed because at the time the ACC had Clemson and Florida State so they would at least be tested but Florida State being terrible means Clemson have cupcakes all year whilst SEC Teams that could go 13-1 instead of 9-3 or 10-2 are playing in the SEC.

I have a groundbreaking idea that has never EVER been mentioned on this board, and I think it just might work:

Kick out Mizzou...they contribute nothing!

This topic should warrant automatic anchor.

I posted my thoughts in a different thread. I'm for getting rid of all conferences and just having a league of 42 of the best programs, split into 6 divisions.

All major rivalries would be kept. But we'd most of the dead weight that holds major CFB back.

so the powers that be.....

would never remove a team?
how would adding more teams help?
do any of you agree that we need to add another conference game?

the schedule seemed better when we had two team rotation..

As is the BIG 12 and the PAC 12. All are garbage with the exception of Clemson and Oregon.... Oklahoma and Baylor are mediocre. Everyone else is garbage from those conferences.

The biggest issue with the sport today. If you really want to rank the teams this year in terms of how good they were, it would look like this:

1. LSU/Clemson
2. LSU/Clemson
3. Ohio State
4. Georgia
5. Florida
6. Oregon
7. Alabama
8. Penn State
9. Minnesota
10. Auburn
11. Michigan
12. Notre Dame
13. Wisconsin
14. Iowa

Of the Top 14:

*6 are Big 10
*5 are SEC
*1 is Notre Dame

The ACC and PAC have just one team in the Top 14, and the BIG 12 has zero.... Oklahoma and Baylor are worse than all those teams above.

That's why the SEC and Big 10 need to start calling the shots and stop letting all these garbage conferences pretend to be on equal footing. They are not.

I'm not a fan of dumping anyone. But if you had to do it, it would be the double dip states. Obviously not Auburn or Alabama as both move the needle more than enough to consider. Don't really see the need for 2 Mississippi and 2 Tennessee schools. So if a had drop teams, I guess Vandy and whoever is less valuable of the Mississippi schools.
Only big markets need to apply, someone from North Carolina or Virginia would make sense. Oklahoma market wouldn't make much sense to me. Only reason to do this would be $.

Yes money is the only driver to expand the conference.

Football wise it’s not appealing. We already have several conference matchups that almost never happen. Why have a conference when you don’t play several teams for years?

Says the Mizzou fan who was let in the door via expansion... which was in all likelihood a big mistake.

Kick out Missouri, Kentucky, and Mississippi State.

Add Oklahoma, North Carolina, Duke, Virginia, and Texas.

I still believe B12 will go & everybody else to 16 (maybe more).

Then the CFBPO will make sense with which 4 teams.

All depends on the TV markets you could add. aTm helped the SEC get into the Texas markets every Saturday. Adding Texas and/OU would not anything to the league except bog it down with more possible contenders and potentially keeping us out of the playoffs or at least make it harder.

We should go after someone like WVU which would add the Pitt market and Ohio plusgive UK a area rival. Then add NC State which would give us Charlotte and Raleigh markets(not the largest but the biggest in NC and definitely hurt the ACC market share as it is the center of the ACC with 4 ACC teams in the state. Would give USC a solid rival as well. Both teams would also get us into the VA markets and maybe as far as the DMV markets with their alum.

Again this is not about quality as it is all about the dollar and market share.

I would also probably move Mizzou and Vandy to the West and slide AU to the east.

Uh, you came to us. Turning down a state that has a city in one of the top 25 tv markets in the country would've reinforced the stereotype that southerners fall off turnip trucks.

Hey Aggie. It’s a good thing there are current no plans to dump anyone. If there were I expect A&M and Missouri would be shown the door. Neither of you is a true southeastern school and add little to the conference.
