only 3 defensive starters took the field against Rice

SHSU hit a couple of big plays when the back ups were in

Bama = over confident I hope the Bama players are thinking this way

why is it transitive properties ONLY work in Bama's favor?

I mean, Bama defeated every other team besides A&M last year but....

you know who scored more on A&M than Bama last year?

Ole Miss
La Tech
LSU (tied)
Sam Houston State
Missouri

The key play for Bama last year in the loss was the Yeldon fumble. It was 23-17 in the 4th quarter and they had just completed the big pass to Cooper to put them just on the edge of field goal range. Instead of completing the drive, the fumble led to the A&M possession that got them to 29, a 10-14 point swing.

They deserved it though, they capitalized on our turnovers. I'm looking forward to the rematch.

Rational analysis.

It was a tough game. It's so hard for a team to come back from 20-0 almost out of the gate- yet you guys were in it right up to the closing moments.

I'm looking forward to a great game, this Saturday. Clearly, this will have a major impact on the race in the West.

the Yeldon fumble

The turnovers proved to be the difference in the end.

1st Quarter INT - Texas A&M got the ball with a short field scored a TD which is was a key part of the 3 TD opening barrage.

4th Quarter Yeldon Fumble - Alabama driving with an opportunity to go up in the game. Boom A&M gets that ball and scores the deciding TD.

4th Quarter INT at the goal line - Pretty obvious impact here.

Good plays by A&M. Conversely, Alabama forced ZERO turnovers. Alabama needs to be even or win the TO battle this year.

What world do you guys live in where you think the offense that showed up against Va Tech can put up 35 on anybody? You're not going to get 21 points off of returns again.

They were sandbagging man. Purposefully dropping balls, throwing picks, giving up sacks and mustering a blistering 2.6 yards per carry just to prove they could cover the spread without even trying.

Some key defensive players were out in those games that will be back this week, so..... But still, point well made....

The question is, will Bama's offense be up to speed themselves? One reason they weren't in the first game was not getting in a rhythm early... Think about it, they're getting ready to go out and PUNT RETURN FOR A TD! So they sit back down, then come in and go in and out quickly then they DO score but when it's time to go back out they punt and when it looks like the bama defense will hold and give the ball back to the offense, Vinnie intercepts it and takes it to the house and the defense comes out again....

They need some early success and some early rhythm to get and keep things going this week...

So the offense didn't play well because your D and SP were doing too good?

Strange excuses man.

Bama, I hope, will try to pass the ball when Aggie stacks the box unlike VT where they were damn the torpedos, we are running and frick off.

Is it even possible that Alabama executes better on offense in the Texas A&M game or is the Alabama offense against VaTech the ceiling for this season?

I'm sure it's possible but 200 yards against a middle of the road ACC team does not suggest anyone should be confident in huge scores against conference foes - especially top-tier conference teams.

I'm not expecting to score 60 on aTm because we passed and ran all over TCU.
