We're scoring more than 24 unless Bama gets 3+ TOs. Our offense has come a long, long way since Florida and LSU.

quote:

No team has scored more than 41 on Saban. In 7 years.

We have more offensive talent than any team that Saban has faced in the last 7 years

Best QB in the NCAA
Top 3-5 RB stable
Top 5 WR corps (headlined by a top 5 WR in the NCAA)
Top 3 OL
Sumlin+Spavital+McKinney=top 1-5 offensive brain trust

If you want to pick on our D, fine. We've got solid talent, but we're green as hell (10+ true fish have already seen time) and we have yet to put all our starters on the field at the same time. We are not reloading in the Bama sense (meaning that redshirt sophs & juniors are replacing graduating players).

But we are unbelievably, ridiculously loaded on offense.

Can TAMU score 42 on Saban's D? Based on what I have seen of the TAMU defense, that's about what its going to take to win.

Saban would have a stroke on the field if his D gave up 42.

Like I said, Bama won't give up 30, much less 42. Alabama wins this game by 2 TDs. Maybe more.

Las Vegas says you'll score 26 / 27 points. 24 is more like it. It will be a miracle if aTm keeps this game under 10. The chance that Bama wins by 2 to 3 TDs is better than the chance of an ag winning at all.

It should be a shootout. TAMU cannot be stopped but they also can't stop anybody.

The only way Bama loses is a whole bunch of turnovers.

In other words, if Bama doesn't pull a "UF @ Miami" they will destroy A&M.

Yep. But it happens. Had a season high 3 TO's vs. A&M last year. Florida was a MUCH better team than Miami, but dumb azzed TO's and mistakes doomed them. Doubt that will happen, but it's possible.

seems like everyone is saying bama will win simply bc a&m has a bad defense.. they been having a bad D.. it doesn't matter they still outscore their opponents not named LSU/Florida

Your D and SP teams will have to help to get there.

How would you know? TAMU has played SHSU, twice, Rice, Mizzou and an OU team with a suck Defense since we last met. Meanwhile, Bama was beating UGA in the SECCG, Notre Dame in the National Title game, and Virginia Tech in the Kickoff game. Good luck.

TAMU has more weapons on offense this year. Football is also more experienced. He was just a freshmen last year.

VT's Defense and Special Teams are much better than TAMU's, and we put up 35 on them. So............

Y'all got bigger problems than A&M's D. Big bad NCAA is coming.

Estimating how many points your team will score, based off of how many points other teams have scored, is not a good method of prediction.

In 2012, LA Tech scored 57 points against A&M's defense. Alabama was only able to manage 24 points. I guess LA Tech was a better team than Alabama last year.

Bama put up 14 on VTs SP and 14 on VTs D...your offense wont get to 35 alone.

OP, you are basically using the transitive property in football, which simply does not work. I think SHSU put up 28 or so on A&M last year, so surely Alabama scored more than that right? Right?

The Alabama v A&M game will not have anything to do with the VaTech, SHSU, or Rice games. The matchups are different, the preparation is different, and the intensity will be different.

Rice put up 31. SHSU put up 28. Is there a sane person who doesn't think Bama will put up at least 35. OK, now that we know Bama will score 35+, that means aTm needs 36 minimum. Hmmm....lets see? What was the last time Bama gave up even 30 points in a football game? 2012....nope. 2011.....nope. 2010......nope. 2009.....nope. 2008......ahhh yes. Bama gave up 31 twice in 2008. aTm could keep this under double digits, but it could also get very ugly. Good luck Aggies, you're going to need it.

Last time around Texas A&M scored 4 TDS, a field goal, and missed a chip shot field goal. Bama should have given up 34 last time but got super lucky.
