Votes are still being tallied but the real winner is yet to be determined.

quote from article: or how the Longhorns have a another new coach and will definitely be back this time.

Aggies and Mizzou already know the drill, the rest of you get ready.

The similarities between A&M & Oklahoma State are uncanny.

They should just play every year.

The SEC can continue to “just mean more” and ESPN can fall all over them and they can get six of their teams in the new 12-team playoff that’s coming and the rest of us can do what we’ve done this whole time: not really care.

Uh-huh. Sure guy.

That's some high quality "aggie" right there.. laughable that they think we still won't yell Boomer at his lOSUr hat, 90-18-7 and the past six straight give us that right. It's also laughable that he thinks they may have a spot in the ACC. And lastly the only two sports they "own" are wrestling (34 national titles) and golf (11) which OU has edged them out of over the past 3 years. What this guy is tired of is his program being constantly overshadowed by "big brother", and he is happy if they stop playing so that his team won't set a record and be the first to lose 100 games to their in state rival.

I’ve been saying it as soon as the news broke. OSU shouldn’t be mad here. They’re going to be just fine without Ou. Let’s just say hypothetically that they join the PAC12. They have the capability to compete with Oregon and USC almost every year for that conference. Not playing OU helps them.

Put the sooner bias aside, OSU is the second best big12 football program since the last realignment. They’re pretty consistent with the exception of beating OU.

Agreed, it may well do them good though I don't think he gets his wish. Barring a possible 10 game SEC schedule I think Bedlam continues.

Okie Lite is a very difficult team to play every year. Gundy is a nut-job, but damn, he always puts a tough team on the field.

You can understand why they are mad. It is unlikely the Pac 12 or ACC will take them. There is no chance for the B1G. They are starting to realize that everything they were told has been true. They were on a 25-year gravy train that they didn't deserve or earn. They had a quarter century to win a national title, and to make themselves matter in college football. They couldn't do it.

Now, they are a joke academic institution in a horrible part of the country that will have to stand on its own in athletics. It won't be pretty.

The SEC will give each school the choice to continue it. There’s other Sec teams that play their instate rival out of conference yearly and that won’t change because of expansion. If bedlam does not continue it’s by choice from OSU and or OU

The way I see it those two made this bed. But now they don’t like it?

Like a bad tenant, Texas trashed the place and now wants to move out. Every decision they’ve made was to benefit them with no regard to anyone else because they knew no matter what they’d be fine. They could go independent and still be one of the richest athletic departments in the country. They grounded the rest of the conference under their heel just because they could.

And Oklahoma was no better. They have the power to stand up to Texas, but rarely did. Instead they let them weaken the conference year after year and now that it’s become unlivable for the both of them they are going to run off together? I’m not sure being tied to the selfishness of Texas is a great look.

Speaking nothing but the plain truth here.

Agreed, but I'm not sure that the SEC schools that do so now with an 8 game conference schedule will continue to do so with a 10 game conference schedule which is being bandied about.

A very good read.

OU's and TU's brassy attitude is in for a shock when they start playing in the SEC. They are NOT going to push anyone around in the SEC like they did in the Big 12.

They're going to find themselves PUSHED BACK and it won't be pleasant if they insist on their way.

OU & TU knew they couldn't beat the SEC...so, they've come crawling to join us.

OU...get used to, as the article implies, going 9-3 or worse most seasons.

Texas...get used to continually postponing your, "we're baaaaack", mantra ad nauseum.

The SEC can't wait for this.

Texas may have copulated with the canine but Oklahoma held the poor dog down while they did it. Sorry Sooner fans, you get your share of the blame for the wreck of the Big 12.

I suppose so, since Oklahoma State's beaten Texas 7 out of the last 11 years.

I can live with 10-2 or 9-3, as that regularly gets an SEC team in the top 10 and now in playoff contention with the added benefit of tempering the steel a bit for coaches and players. Back to the article, OU may have been complicit, but 10 years ago it spurned the SEC at its own detriment because the SEC wouldn't consider OSU. The speech by OUs president before the regents voted was an excellent explanation of what had changed and why the decision was made.

Oh boy, this guy is delusional. More like 11 AM kickoff vs. Tulane. Okie Lite is not a big market school. Neither the ACC nor the Pac12 wants them. Texas Tech maybe. But not them.

Nobody cares about the state of Oklahoma.

I actually think that Tex and OU will take this move as a wake up call. Sure they are going to get their teeth kicked in the first couple seasons, but iron sharpens iron, look what we did for aTm, they went from a bunch of pussy cry babies getting ran out of the Big 12, to a pretty solid SEC team.

I like it when the SEC is strong from top to bottom it makes football more interesting.

I kind of agree with this, both schools have the resources to get up to speed, and OU is just about there anyways.

To be honest a change in scenery will rejuvenate both Okie St and Oklahoma. I was tired of playing the old Big 8 teams. As for the old SWC teams, When we played the Texas based teams we always had to beat the teams and beat the refs. Lubbock was the Bermuda Triangle of Football strange things like a fifth down or ball spotted egregiously wrong or weird penalties always seemed to happen there....Rape U always had a stench to it, TCU was fun but Patterson had OUs number just did not quite have the players to pull it off very often, ...But it is fun to beat TexASS like a rented mule, that never grows old......

So Oki St will grow from this change.....
