I'd have to see what players contributed what... see how much was due to steroids. Probably not a lot, but it might shift those numbers around.

If Bo hadn't gotten hurt, he'd have probably hit 500 in his career. AU would be way closer to the top.

There is so much gold in Bama fans "shifting numbers around" I dont know where to even begin.

I am sure you can find a few more natty's not nailed to the floor during your investigation.

From where are you gleaning those stats?

Share the link please .... sometching is not right about SC’s number. It’s a little low. Seems like maybe it’s not including players pre-85 maybe?

I love stats like this, Thanks Warrior

I'd go with Arizona State as the All Time leader:

Barry Bonds
Reggie Jackson
Bob Horner
Sal Bando
Ian Kinsler
Dustin Pedroia
Paul LaDouca
Mike Benjamin
Rick Monday
Alvin Davis
Andre Ethier and lots more

Ref

Tried a quick cross referencing on the South Carolina website. Nothing noticeable popped up through my quick scan. Let me know if there's any changes.

More than Alabama, Ole Miss, A&M, Missouri, Vandy, Georgia, and Kentucky combined.

Probably.

I'm still looking for... well anything... for MSU to win, even from a lesser known source.

That investigation will take Holmes-level sleuthing to uncover anything though.

Curious why there are orders of magnitude differential here... I don't dispute it, but wonder what the root cause is.

At quick glance, MSU has about 1.5x the number of drafted players as UGA (was one of the easiest to quick count on baseball-reference), so that would account for some differential, but clearly nowhere near all... With a big grouping of schools sitting in that 750-900ish range, seems strange to be at even half of that number.

For Georgia, wonder if it has something to do with the high number of HS draft picks that come from the state?

Even out of those five, four are grouped pretty close together and then there is a 450+ gap, and then LSU in a tier of its own.

But seriously who cares.
