Feels like forever waiting on Nebraska and CINCY to start back.

Ain’t nobody’s attention span nowadays got time for a 20 minute plus break.

Sounds like none of you guys have ever suffered the wrath of a "band parent."

Everything about the college game is too long.

I love the sport but games are pushing to be 3.5-4hrs...too long.

If they decided to show the bands performing rather than commercials, you wouldn’t mind 1/2 time.

So few schools allow a visiting band to march at halftime that I'm not sure it would make a noticeable difference. LSU once barred the Aggie band from marching in favor of a halftime showing featuring Three Doors Down. That halftime could have been five minutes shorter without hurting anyone's feelings (they had plenty of time to spare).

I’d be cool with 20 minutes. It’s enough time to make a beer run, hit the bathroom, shoot the shite with family/friends and settle into your seat again, whether at the game or watching at home.

Is 15 min long enough to get your PB&J sammiches and get screamed at by your coach?

Same for Texas high schools, but with even longer halftimes. But, at college games, it's usually only one game a year, at most, when the visitors bring a full band. I think you could still have both bands march with 15 minutes, they'd just have to cut out all the donor recognition and other BS.

Isn't that the norm in every state for HS Football?

I think the OP was complaining about tv commercials instead of anything school related.

I don’t know. If you check those out of state hs games on Friday nights/Saturdays on tv, some locations don’t even have a band in the stands.

*or they have a choreographed dance group performance.

Too many commericials.

I hate that they keep tinkering with ways to "shorten the game" except for the commercials.

The shortest commercial break is 3 minutes 20 seconds and the longest is 3 minutes 55 seconds.

The TD...commercial, come back for the kick off, then go back commercial is the worst and makes game longer.
