My favorite week 1 tradition is the thread where this map gets posted and people absolutely rage because they don’t understand the premise

It’s so basic, one should be able to figure it out by just looking at the map. But here we are……..again. And comments still being added complaining about their territory being wrong with, I'm sure, more to come.

St Thomas is D1 but FCS level so it wouldn't count here.

Nothing. Their territory has already been conquered by Vandy. A team that beats Vandy will get all territory that Vandy has acquired.

Do y'all seriously not understand how this works? It's not rocket science.

Well considering about nine teams will beat Vandy...it would be good to know the rules.

You are saying it is just the next team to beat Vandy that gets Hawaii until somebody beats that team? And so on.

So the end result of this exercise is that at the end of the regular season...pretty much the conference champions own all the map.

Vandy takes Hawaii... and part of Alaska apparently.
the fact that whoever created this imperial map is so OCD to have looked up the distance of Hawaii to part of the Aleutian Islands and determined that those were closer to Hawaii than Washington U

So just curious, if Florida loses to Utah, Utah gets that plot in Florida, can Florida get that back? If someone else beats Florida do they get it? Or if someone beats Utah do they get all the territory Utah had??
