Bama fans laughed at the thought of Meyer waxing that arse 2 years ago also but it happened

I don't think anyone laughed at Urban Meyer. Everyone knew Meyer would build a monster at Ohio State. I think Harbaugh will build a perennial top 10 team at Michigan too.

However, none of those things are "threats" to Alabama or reasons to be afraid. It's dumb.

Cowherd should be afraid that FS1 goes kaput and his idiotic deal goes up in smoke.

Cowherd's ratings are dog shite

quote:

Last year at this time, The Mike Francesa Show was averaging 46,000 viewers during the first week of February. Exactly one year later, Colin Cowherd was averaging 66,000 viewers. Viewers will come to FS1 when must-see live events come. Are the millions Fox is paying Cowherd really worth 20,000 viewers? Highly doubtful.

I'm sure Saban is losing sleep at night over a guy who hasn't even won a major conference title.

Actually he didn't. Finished second to Oregon in 2010. Then went to the NFL.

let's see:

The 49ers hadn't made the playoffs nor had a winning season since 2002. In his first year, even with the lockout, they went 13-3, won their division, and made the NFC championship game.

In 2012 he again won his division, going 11-4-1, and also won the NFC, then making the Super Bowl.

In 2013 he again made the NFC championship game, making him the first NFL coach in history to make the NFC title game 3 times in a row in their first 3 years.

It wasn't until 2014 that the 49ers finally went 8-8 and failed to make the playoffs for the first time with Harbaugh as HC. Again, before his arrival, they hadn't made the playoffs in over a decade. As soon as he arrived, they made 3 consecutive NFC Championships and also played in a Super Bowl.

The very next year, Jim Tomsula led the 49ers to a 5-11 record and was fired after 1 season.

The man is a phenomenal coach and the 49ers were dumb to let him go, just because he was hard to deal with.

He just knows if pokes the SEC then fans will come rushing over to see what is going on.

Honestly, people act like if Saban doesn't win the Natty EVERY year he is somehow falling apart. Nobody wins all of the time but nobody wins as much as Saban.

Harbaugh is a very good coach - but I'm not that worried about him. We're going to get talent in the area and out of the area with or without Michigan/Ohio State recruiting in the area. They'll probably get a kid or two themselves cause there's enough talented football players around here to go around.

But I'm not worried about Jim Harbaugh just as I'm not worried about Urban Meyer. We've played both teams twice in my lifetime. That's not a rival.

All those kids in Florida who want to go to Florida, all those kids in Georgia who want to go to Georgia, all those kids in Louisiana who want to go to LSU, living in a state with another SEC program

allllll that shite worries me ahead of whether or not Harbaugh can get a kid or two out of the south because he exists in a state that produces dick for football talent

Please don't get it confused. I was not agreeing with Cowherd. That guy is a blumbering fricking idiot.

I was attempting to point out, to a Bama fan that apparently doesn't watch NFL football, that Harbaugh accomplished a lot at San Francisco. Literally the only thing he did not accomplish was winning a Super Bowl, and was close to doing just that.

I love Cowherd's taked on Saban:

Every year it's Saban will jump ship at the first decent opportunity.

A couple of years ago it was Malzahn was going to own Saban

At the beginning of last season he said Alabama's dynasty was over, won't win another championship and it was Saban's fault because the game had passed him by.

Now Saban should fear Harbaugh.

At least he is consistent.

Harbaugh's career may have ended badly at the Niners, but come on man. The Niners were just fundamentally poor under Singletary and Harbaugh took over that franchise and put them in contention for a SB every year, minus his last year. He unfortunately had to deal with a sleeping monster that Carroll took over.

I don't think anyone debates on whether he's a good coach or not. I fully expect Michigan go be a power under him and making the OSU-UM rivalry even more heated.

That said, I find it hilarious that idiots like Cowherd continue to fling shite to the wall and expect it to stick. This is about the 3rd-4th coach Alabama should be "scared" of. All this while Saban keeps racking in SEC titles and national championships.

I actually look at this the other way around. Saban shouldn't fear Harbaugh. He should be thankful for Harbaugh, as should other playoff contenders. Harbaugh can hopefully prevent Meyer and OSU from having a virtually free path to the CFP every year. Give the Big 10 a little parity and have to work for its spot in the CFP like the SEC does week in a week out. I like it.
