Totally agree.

Still laugh at them running wrong plays and wasting time outs because they had the wrong wrist bands. Real gameday genius that guy.

The shoe throw is epic gameday coaching as well, being the only time i have ever seen that, mullens must not coach them to not throw shoes on game days.

In reality, we'll never know the answer to this.

We really don't know if Saban could coach an average roster up. I mean, Bama looked pretty awful his first year there.

I don't know what Kirby would do with an average roster, because he never had one. But I'm pretty sure that Mullen is not an elite recruiter. An elite recruiter would do what Urban did in Gainesville. Muschamp was probably better at recruiting.

But he does recruit the best shoe tossers.

You Georgia guys really hate Florida. My goodness. I didn’t expect so much anger.

Ok. Your coach is the best. You got the man! Ok?

He had one player drafted off his 2016 team (6th rd KR) and not one senior drafted (DGAS about composite rankings) and came within 2 fluke plays of winning 10 games.

If Florida were to beat Georgia again this year... we’d know the answer.

Although from the responses it looks pretty obvious.

Smart. Mullen would find a way to lose at Georgia. He is very much an average coach.

Saban would win at any SEC school except Vandy.

I just don't see the Mullen is a good or great coach. He seems to frick up more games because of his stupid play calling than Kirby. Anyone could have taken Dak to the number 1 ranking. It's kinda like Chiz and Cam. Mullen will never win a championship. Kirby will win multiple.

All you folks blowing him for this always fail to realize that he beat three straight overrated teams that all finished with 5 losses each and only AU finished in the top 25. He then proceeded to lose 3 of his last four games against the only teams he played worth a shite.

Riiight. Dak was so polished when he came to Miss State. Mullen had nothing to do with his development.

Mullen lost 4 last year with Trask, Pitts and Toney. He singlehandedly lost the LSU game. Sometimes he looks like a genius, but he isn't consistently good on GameDay. He is better than Kirby on their best days though.

It is not how you begin but how you finish. A number one ranking in the middle of a season is nothing when the bigger games start popping up on the schedule. Like Nutt, he only had one 10 win season and both collapsed at the end of the year.

Some places take a while to build up but he was never going to put State over the hump. 69-46, 33-39 in the SEC. I never understood the love he gets.

Some coaches have it and others just have too many mental flaws that keep them from achieving greatness.

Not one of those guys were in the top 150 in recruiting. Toney wasn’t even top 300. Who knows where Trask was lol No credit for developing those guys. Y’all need to take off the red and black shades

You need to re-read your own question then. Mullen lost 4 games with a loaded roster. If you gave Kirby that same roster, would he lose five?

And I have seen enough of your posts to know you aren't objective on this subject anyway so I won't waste my time with it anymore than I already have.

Not angry at all. I hope Dan does just what he's always done and stays there a long, long time. Long live Dan Mullen!!!!
