Hard for me to give credence to a place being tough to play when there is a sustained, multi-year history of the team who calls it home posting better records away from it than when playing there.
So you don't think it's possible for a team to consistently achieve difficult goals?
No one said it was impossible to win there, just that it's difficult to. That Alabama has had so much success in Tiger Stadium is more of a testament to Alabama's overcoming difficult situations consistently, than it is that's it's easy to win there.

It's just kind of a cliche at this point.
Tell that to Kirby Smart, or Auburn.
As a matter of fact, I'm really looking forward to Auburn bringing in a freshman QB to try to break the streak.

What are you talking about? I'm talking about Texas A&M, not Tiger Stadium. I said Tiger Stadium at #1 is totally good and worthy.

I'm sure Kyle Field was hell back in the 1980s but it's just not today. At all.
Texas A&M is 12-15 at Kyle Field in SEC play since they arrived in the conference.
Texas A&M is 18-16 away from Kyle Field in SEC play since they arrived in the conference.
Texas A&M is better ON THE ROAD in the SEC than they are at Kyle Field since they joined the SEC.
quote:
Yea I have no problem with LSU - big games in Tiger Stadium are awesome and it has more than earned it reputation.
LSU isn't worse at home than they are on the road. If LSU won 70% of their SEC games on the road and 45% of their SEC games at home the last decade then I'd cast some doubt on Tiger Stadium too.
That isn't the case.

Well, Auburn has never lost at Kyle Field. And Georgia has never played there. Texas A&M has lost basically every big game against a good team they've played there the last 8 years.
Take a second, read the post and breath before immediately determining it's some slight towards LSU.

LSU's Tiger Stadium being a tough place to play is the biggest myth in the country.
Its a myth to you because you are a BAMA fan, to everyone else its legit brah.

When lsu was losing to Troy it probably wasn’t a tough environment for them at the moment

You have a good team but your stadium is the definition of dump.

Why have they had so many more road SEC games?

They also beat A&M 45-21 that year.
Ride that Troy dick.

I cannot imagine the noise being as big a factor as the team.
The TEAM is not the "PLACE". You are talking about totally different variables. Put Rice in a stadium with 150k people screaming at the top of their lungs all game when your offense is on the field and it's not an easy "place" to play but the team certainly is.

They lose a home game every other year for Arkansas

Having a good team goes hand in hand with how loud it gets.
Does it? Because Kyle Field made the Top 5 and the home team there hasn't won anything important in decades.
You dont see Bryant-Denny on this list either and the last time bama lost a home game there was September 2015.

Exactly, and why would Bama fans have energy about this?

I dont think you understand what "Toughest place to play" means. It's about crowd noise almost entirely.
It's not "Toughest team to play".
Translation: No, because wins/losses wouldn't fit the narrative. Because...you know...Bama.
Tough place to play = hard to beat a team.
You're telling me if Ole Miss called Lsu's stadium home, then it would STILL be a tough place to play? Nah.
A few drunks screaming doesn't make it a tough place.

So again, why couldn't Bama, who has won 27 straight home games dating back to 2015, not even crack the Top 5 on this list as voted on by the very head coaches themselves?
It's almost like it's not a list of "the toughest teams to play".
During that time frame Bama has won 27 straight home games:
Texas A&M has lost 9 home games
Washington has lost 5 home games
LSU has lost 5 home games
PSU has lost 3 home games
Clemson has lost 1 home game
Yet the head coaches felt all 5 of those places were tougher to play at than Bryant-Denny.
