Taken from the link below, I like this quote..
“Opportunity does not knock. It presents itself when you break down the door. Every man at some point in his life is going to lose a battle. He is going to fight, and he is going to lose. But what makes him a man, is that in the midst of that battle, he does not lose himself.”

Another good quote..
“I said you need to strive to be better than everyone else. I didn’t say that you need to be better than everyone else. But you gotta try. That’s what character is, it’s in the try.”

One more good one..
“Success is not a goal, it is a byproduct.”

His wife had a good quote too..
“Well you are going to win, or you are going to lose. Either way, the sun is going to come up in the morning.”

I like this guy.

He's always been a very down to earth kind of man.

I’ll say this for him, he got that team in a fighting mode pretty damn quick. The mentality of those players was visible on the field. They wanted badly th I shed that Chad Morris loser mentality, and they did.

He is great for CFB in general. In the modern age of CFB with the almighty dollar and "splash" hires ruling everything Pittman is a reminder of what makes college football special.

Another good one..
“Tomorrow, if you give 100 percent of yourself, people are going to look at you differently, people are going to think of you differently and I promise you, you’re gonna look and think differently about yourselves.”

There was an interview he did with RJ Young on Youtube, I don't have the link handy. Anyway to paraphrase what he said... you don't scream and cuss at players because when they get older they might think that is how they should handle their children.

I'm not saying Pittman is the guy to take us back to elite national prominence. I would be thrilled if he was. But he seems like a good person. Win, Lose, or Draw tomorrow... I think Arkansas needed a calming influence like Pittman to get our program back on track.

With no insult intended I think quite a few schools could do with a head coach whose first priority is calming thing down. First get things back on track. Then build on that. Gary Pinkel at Missouri is a great example, as is Stoops at Kentucky.

I can get on board with that.. basically a good guy, with good values who can build the program like he wants. Basically a college version of Coach Eric Taylor.

I like the guy. I don’t want him to win tomorrow, but you gotta respect the man and the coach.

This was a good one too..
“I told my team that there will be a bond formed on Saturday between and among you, that will never be broken. I will not be proven wrong on that.”

“Do I think we can beat Texas A&M? I don't think we can beat Texas A&M. I know damn well we can beat Texas A&M. The question is, do they think that we can beat Texas A&M? And if they do, I told them to show me!”

KJ Jefferson on the upcoming game..
I'm just trying to worry about beating Texas A&M on Saturday. That's all I wanna be thinking about, okay? And, and that's hard. I don't know if you're aware, but we never beat Texas A&M. I mean, not even Brandon Allen could beat Texas A&M.”
