He certainly seems like he knows a lot of people who get their trailers repossessed but he may be missing some other demographics that criticize their teams' coaches.

This team should have competed for the Big12 and a playoff spot. Unfortunately, the defense suffered two critical injuries, and the QB did a belly flop off of the high dive.

Gundy's comments have sparked a backlash that will probably be reflected in reduced donations and non-renewals of season tickets.

Gundy has a perpetual contract that automatically renews unless canceled at which time it starts a five-year countdown/buyout.

I've always loved Gundy! Best school in Oklahoma, with Phillips Theological 2nd, Tulsa 3rd, and Oral Roberts 4th.

That was the coach that Arkansas should have went after hard instead of that dude named Bert.

Negativity does nothing but further hurt the program.

I feel for the Ok State fans. Their brother just took off to the SEC, leaving them in a shite conference spread from Florida to Utah, with the Houston Cougars in between. They're already pissed at the world and I can't blame 'em.

They said this about us while FSU and Miami were winning a ton, so it's not just that.

Check the rosters on those teams that won championships for Miami, FSU, and Florida. You’re gonna find a lot of their hometowns ending in “, FL” Meaning the resources were there. It’s not comparable to Oklahoma State.

This matters a whole lot less in 2024 forward. You buy your team now. Surely all that T Boone Pickens money hasn't dried up. Plus I'm pretty sure University of Oklahoma is in Oklahoma but let me review my atlas.

Yeah, bc most college football programs aren’t worth hundreds of millions of dollars. That’s the only difference right? Not that Oklahoma has been a top 5 program for half a century and has had a pipeline from Texas into it during its entire history while Oklahoma State is .500 program historically. Lmao what argument is this?

Again, someone should have let Oklahoma know they couldn't win due to the abbreviation of their state. They somehow eluded this rule.

That if you want something you build toward it, not throw up your hands and make excuses like these.

Seems like they’ve built what they could with a great coach. You don’t throw away a great coach bc he has a bad season and then hire and hire and become Arkansas. Is the next Urban Meyer at a smaller school likely to end up at Florida with an abundant of recruits in state and championships in the last 20 years or at Oklahoma State?

Arkansas and Oklahoma State are pretty much equivalents and one program stuck with a coach who has brought them sustained success and the other went from competitive in the SEC west to bottom dweller in span of 15 years due to believing it should be competing for national titles.

Again, there’s about 12 programs that can compete for national championships with resources and recruiting. I don’t think you cut your most successful coach in history bc he had a bad season in his 20 years of being at your school. That isn’t “accepting mediocrity” it’s being objective.

He's a good coach, clearly, but that record would get you bumped at most top programs,

What’s he’s doing at OSU is nothing short of remarkable. It’s very hard to win in Oklahoma. Top recruits are hard to keep home, and there isn’t an over-saturation of talent like there is in the southeast US.

Possibly.

I agree, but who's doing that? Their fans are complaining because they want more.

If you're the head coach you should have the same mentality.

Spurrier wanted his feet held to the fire. I loved that about him. He too got annoyed by fans not being happy enough but that was after he won a ship and he never called out fans.

When Spurrier lost, who did he blame? Not the fans.

3-8 OSU plays at 8-3 CU, Gundy's Guys vs Deion's Dandy's, who are favored by 16.5.

Looks like a win for the puffs but my gut is going with the cowboys to finish off Deion's dreams of going to the Big XII CCG and the CFP.

Arkansas fired Petrino not because he wasn't winning enough.

No wants to go to Oklahoma State and Gundy had to go find his diamonds in the rough to win.
