UTrans Longwhorns and the Dallas Cowboys.

Two fanbases that have to look back more than two decades for their last title.

Fitting comparison, for sure

Haha, you mean like the tackle box? Aggy stadium has been renovated some many times it looks like an open tackle box.

So many renovations with only one objective. More seats than DKR. NEVER mind in doing so, aggy has seats where only a portion of the field can be seen.

Nebraska is undefeated in men’s hoops this year. They are no longer a football school

UT is Tennessee. UTx is Texas.

I'm a bit surprised Alabama is in top 10. Although our facilities are top 10.

Not surprised to see Texas at the top with A&M right up there also.

These guys dissing Nebraska's "value" don't realize that probably half of Nebraska's GDP goes through the Nebraska athletic department one way or another.

But the reality is, with our iconic Longhorn logo known worldwide, like the Dallas Cowboys we don’t really have to win that much anymore to rake in the dough…

UTrans fans use diapers for jockstraps? Makes sense in a weird sort of way but you be you.

CNBC's list reflects the current enterprise value of each program, starting with a base revenue multiple of four for all institutions, and then adjusting the multiple for variables, including conference affiliation, estimated NIL spend, school subsidies, number of alumni and other factors that can catalyze revenue growth and profitability.

FWIW: Here is the methodology for their rankings. Sounds real objective. I really like "other factors that can catalyze revenue growth and profitability".

Actually, I really like that little fuzzy Bevo that you posted, and now I absolutely have to buy one for my baby grandson…

Longhorn marketing is pretty automatic at this point… and our athletics cash keeps rolling in…

The valuations are stupid, barely more data than On3 nil numbers which are made up.

Also all of those athletic departments would be sold on the open market for more than that. Texas would probably sell for $3B+ on the open market

The group that puts these rankings together has some sort of vendetta against Auburn, and they will never explain their reasoning.

Every other SEC athletic program has a revenue to value multiple of 4.44 to 5.07. With zero explanation they lowered Auburn’s multiple to just 4.18

Revenue multiple applied to each SEC school:

5.07- Ole Miss
4.96- Texas A&M
4.92- Miss State
4.88- Florida
4.83- Oklahoma
4.79- Georgia
4.79- Tennessee
4.77- LSU
4.68- Arkansas
4.65- Vanderbilt
4.64- Alabama
4.60- Missouri
4.50- Kentucky
4.46- Texas
4.44- South Carolina
4.18- Auburn

The gap between #15 S Carolina and #16 Auburn is almost three times as large as any gap between any of the other schools compared to the ones right above or right below.

There is no reason for them to set Auburn’s multiple so low.

Well, the reason we are all wasting time reading dumbarse threads like mine today is that none of us SEC baws are gonna bring in a natty this year…
