We have a high paid roster as well and our coach is completely outmatched by Day.
Yeah I'd put cig and smart ahead of day, but coaching matters in the NIL era. Teams can't stack talent like before. Day is a very good coach.

Agree to disagree but coaching matters more now than ever. The days of a few elite teams stacking talent are over. It's all about coaching now. Day won one in this new era. He is a damn good coach.
Perhaps a bit of my stance is the fact that he so completely owns our joke of a coach. It's a little easier to accept if you consider day elite

See how that sounds?
He won a title. It's not as simple as "he beat our coach".
Yes sark is an overrated clown but I still think Day is an elite coach. We'll have a better idea of who he is in the playoffs.

Something else to consider.
He is partly responsible for JMU being as good as they are.
Indiana is #1, B1G champion, undefeated and in the playoff.
JMU is Sun Belt champ an also in the playoff.

He is obviously a very good coach will have his team in the hunt but to be special you have to have a Championship he does that this year and he puts himself in rare company.
