I love the clip, but this was not the way for Texas to ingratiate itself to the rest of the SEC on the eve of joining the conference.

Why do we need to ingratiate ourselves to anyone? And it's not like we were going to be welcomed with open arms anyway. Might as well come in swinging our dick.

I'm not talking about ingratiating yourselves to the average fan. I'm talking about the other administrators and power brokers in the conference. It's obvious that these negotiations were going on for a while before today, and I have to think it's going to be frowned upon.

If "dunking on Aggy" was your only objective then it's pretty short sighted. You just sent a message to every AD in the conference that Texas will stab you in the back at the first available opportunity, and you aren't exactly coming in with an immaculate record in that regard.
