Had them both ways. Fried would be my choice. And a good one will tastes like they smell. And taste like fermented wheat.

Serious question how many white people eat that shite??

I’ve had them, several times when I was a young boy through late teens. So its been a while. Never had any boiled, always fried. Idon’t remember a bad taste, but that might have been the seasoning...

My grandfather was a farmer, and raised hogs. I know they would be boiled enough to clean them because he would also use them for sausage casings.

I've had em man. If cleaned and cooked properly, they are pretty damn good. I am not as low class as you might think and I enjoy them once in a blue moon.

Here's an even funnier (and somewhat embarrassing) bit of info:

I won the pageant for the festival once upon a time. Was crowned Miss Chitlin Strut.

My Dad cooked them and when he did I would have to leave the house for a few days. I’ve heard when they are cooked right they might be pretty good but I would have to take somebody’s word for that.

You know how to cook chitlins?

You boil the shite out of them!

Kidneys/piss can be substituted in this joke. You're welcome. I'll be here all night folks.

Had a boiled one... once at a friends family dinner. His mom warned me it really “ethnic”. Was about 2” square. After the first bite it looked as big as a floor tile. NEVER again.

We raised and butchered hogs in the winter. My dad always ate pigs feet, liver, neck bones. We rendered lard and made cracklings out of skins. We never cooked chitlins though.

Most black people I know who enjoy soul food have had them. Kinda mixed these days on who likes them really though. I've always liked them to a degree.
