Many people don’t remember, but at one time LSU had a very hard hitting defense. Clearly it has been many years as LSU fans now consider hard but legal tackles as being dirty.

Not me. I love hard hitting nasty defenses. The new rules have almost ruined the game for me. "But what about the players safety!?" Don't care. Don't want to get hit/hurt? Don't play the game.

So much recency bias in these responses.

The correct answer is LB Wilber Marshall (UF - 1980-83)

I was wondering which high school team that Spikes poked in the eye until I remembered.

It was Hines Ward and it isn't close.

This is the correct answer and he kept that reputation in the NFL as well. The cheap shot he took to blow out Jimmy Brumbaugh's knee pretty much ended his shot at making an NFL roster.

IDK your definition but inflicting brain damage on other players is dirtier than stepping on someones hand or twisting nuts in the pile.

This POS here. He would stop on hands and legs while players were on the ground. Ultimate pussy.

Probably the dude from Bama that wasn't in the game but tackled a GT player, who was running down the sideline about to house one.
