I remember the first time I went to Oxford some acquaintances greeted us with a bunch of corn dogs as a joke. I circled back an hour later and they had been devoured by the group.

I remember it was a Georgia fan who stole it from a Nebraska board for the 2003 game against LSU. They lost twice to LSU that year, so they dropped it. But Auburn fans brought it back in the next year, and they beat LSU, so it stuck after that.

I have never met an LSU fan that this annoyed by it. Everyone I know finds it comical. Hell, LSU fans post when sonic runs their .99 corn dog special to play along with it.
