I don't think any of them are that bad, including Tennessee. I think the unwritten rules that are unique to baseball are absurd. I think he was talking about Tennessee, because that is the national narrative because Tennessee is the program who has taken the college baseball world by storm, and Chipper is too dumb to have an original though. Also because he has since posted a follow up post where he mentions Tennessee and doesn't say "that's not even who I was talking about."

It isn't unwritten rules of baseball, it is just general respect for everyone and everything, including themselves. If they want to act like an idiot and be all about their individuality, then play a sport that doesn't involve a team and you can take all the heat yourself. Then the Tennessee fans or Georgia fans don't have to watch you act like an idiot when they watch their team. Go join the Savannah Bananas, or the circus.
Check out the Georgia season long baseball thread in the UGA forum and what many of the their fans said when their season came to an end. It was not nice about how the players are allowed to represent the team. I agree with them.

Chipper has clarified his stance, and I agree with him. I still support Sully, and think he was right to bitch and complain, but I think he carried it too far, but I don't know the exact circumstances. Maybe he didn't carry it far enough.
So he was basically criticizing his favorite teams. Just make sure UGA knows they are 2nd favorite.

I actually like Vitello. He is a great baseball coach. It is factual that he recruits a certain type of player. Every player for tenn has the same personality.
