You’ll not see me defend BR, but there’s shacks like that in every city in America.

Yes, but in Los Angeles that "house" is probably at least 500K - I had a friend that sold something like that with bars on the windows, and bought a freaking mansion in Idaho with the money ...

Imagine bragging about overpaying for a pile of shite.

But then, that is the Aggie Way.

Yes, overpaying. I'm sure you might be able to afford that little house in Fayetteville one day if you save your pennies, Sidewalk ... in the meantime that nice little house in BR is for sale.

Close to the stadium as well!

I thought it’s the price of the land that’s high over there? The land has the $400k value in theory there right?

No wheels or neck. That’s a mansion to you State boys. Just need an above-ground Walmart pool and you would feel at home

Yes, it certainly isn't the house. My friend's mother died and she lived on a little house in the ghetto on half an acre. Real Estate agent sold the parcel of land and the "house" for more than 600K after taxes

As I said, he lives in a REALLY nice house in Idaho with the money

Why would it be so expensive in Arkansas? Is it sitting on 10 acres?

True that. A HS friend of mine just moved back to the Birmingham area after 30 years in LA. They lived north of LA in the Thousand Oaks area. They sold their house for about $2.5 million, housed shopped two days here (not exaggerating) and paid $500k cash for a brand new, probably 6,000 sq ft house just completed in February. They did not buy ‘over-the-mountain’ and really got a lot for their money.

I’m kinda intrigued now.
This thread inspired me to Zillow search properties in B/CS between $10K-$50K (photos below).
Not many houses, but there are actually some potentially decent grabs for lots.
The gears in my head are turning ....

Re: the OP - If someone has an extra $13K in the bank and doesn’t mind paying the taxes/insurance, that BR property may not be a bad teardown investment. Potential game day casita written all over it.

$42,5002 bd1 ba884 sqft

$21,0004,966 Square Feet

$37,0007,000 Square Feet

It’s so much cheaper to live on the Bryan side, utilities are hundred dollar differences, just crossing the street
