If I were 18 again, I wouldn’t waste my time or money at any of the big schools.

QFT. For the vast majority of college graduates a degree from a small university will do you just fine and it won't come with a massive price tag attached.

True, might as well embrace the sterotype and bias. Nothing we do will ever alter that perception.

That said, they fail to see the advantage that the one-eyed man has in the land of the blind. Those with near average intelligence and median household income ranges are that much better off by comparison.

Stupid B1G country and their high paying jobs and fancy brick and mortar universities. Recipe for inflation, high cost of living, endless student debt, and underemployment.

They can keep their shitty weather, pale women, plain beef and potato rust belt cuisine, lack of beaches, crap college athletics of any significance, and miserable people who genuinely do not know how to enjoy life.

Fat, dumb, and happy isn't the worst way to get through life. We will all just scrape by somehow.

I never walked the hallowed halls of the big ten but I do have a BS and a Masters from Southern Universities. I have always been able to make a pretty good living. Both of my sons got degrees from SEC schools and one has a Masters from a Big ten school. He playfully reminds me he attended an AAU school or whatever that designation is the big tenners are so proud of. We joke about it. I tell him his school's team still sucks.

Attitudes among those big ten people will never change. They have been like this as long as I have been around them and I have known some of them for a long time.

Sounds like you’ll never land a writing job at a big time company like Yahoo or USA Today

#1 non-JUCO football school (and maybe total sports program) in the state of MS since the integration of the South.

I am doing my part to raise the bar on this misconception of the "South".
Living in " THE Ohio State University" territory for 20+ years has been quite a lesson for me.

Studied at LSU and graduated from "the ragun cajuns", I am the envy of all in my upscale neighborhood because I retired at 50

Amazingly, I do not hear any condescending talk about my south.
