If we really wanted to get technical about it, Bama won the 2020 SEC Championship in football and the 2021 SEC Championship in basketball. But, it's still within a one year span so it counts IMO.

not in the last 20 yrs, but Kentucky has done it. Only tossing it in there to counter the notion we've never won the SEC in football.

Not that it matters, but they go by academic year.
Fall 2020 to spring 2021 is the current sports year, which is why LSU isn't on the list. They won the hoops title in the 2018-19 academic year and the football title in the 2019-2020 academic year.
But, as I said, that's just the way the record book sees it. From a fan's perspective calendar 2019 was as fun for you guys as calendar 2020's been for us.

It was a couple years I believe. But had we chosen 1976 for probation instead of 1977 (yes, they were given the choice) we'd have won/shared the SEC at 6-0. The Sugar Bowl could have been UK vs. Alabama to decide it. In 1977 we trounced UGA 33-0 in Athens and beat a good LSU team soundly. So either way an SEC Championship. One taken by the NCAA another given.
At least when Fran Curci cheated he knew what he was doing.
