Our first time ever to Columbia, Mizzou and looking forward to it. Can Mizzou fans help with restaurants/bars you recommend. Thanks

It's always a race to Cracker Barrel or Red Lobster.

Might be going as well. Would love some local insight on fun places to go and things to do on game day in Columbia.

Happy to provide some recommendations in the morning, baws
Update:
Looks like Breakaway’s post below covers a lot of the high points I’d have recommended, so check out his list for some good options.
Definitely recommend Rock Bridge State Park and the short/easy “hike” down to Devil’s Ice Box…it’s pretty cool.
If you want a college bar, go to Harpo’s or Willie’s. Otherwise, if you’re looking for a more grown up environment then check out Breakaway’s options below.
Definitely eat at Addison’s, Shakespeare’s, and/or Booches (bring cash — cash only). Broadway Diner is a must for breakfast/brunch.
If you want drunk food late at night…El Rancho is ELITE.

I’d rather go watch a high school game than go there

Id rather go to Branson, if that tells you anything.

My two cents:
Booches Burgers
Shakespeare's Pizza
And for breakfast a Stretch at Broadway Diner

9th street just off the edge of campus. Try Booche's or any bar/restaurant within a short walk of it. There are a few bars that are two stories tall. Great drinks, pretty girls and some decent food. Brooche's have really good sliders

Cheap eats:
1. Booches. Greasy little burgers. Heart of downtown. Been there since 1884. It will be packed on game day.
2. Shakespeares. Popular local pizza place. Located right where campus and downtown meet.
3. Broadway Diner. Greasy breakfast for your hangover. Get a Stretch. Located downtown.
Finer dining:
1. CC’s City Broiler: best restaurant in the city, surf and turf. West side of town.
2. Murry’s: great spot just south of the stadium by about a mile. Good live music.
3. Sycamore: small downtown restaurant, haven’t had a bad meal there.
Bars:
1. Logboat Brewing: they brew some great beer, relatively new to Columbia
2. Flatbranch Brew Pub: relaxing spot downtown. Food and beer are decent.
3. Barred Owl: good location downtown and good food.
4. The Heidelberg rooftop deck. Great location on the edge of campus.
College bars: Harpos, Shiloh, Field House. All downtown, should all be crowded. Drinks are cheap.
Other activities:
1. Rock Bridge State Park: beautiful spot just south of town. Take the short trail down to Devils Ice Box.
2. Bluff top winery in Rocheport: 10 miles west of Columbia. shite wine but a great view on the Missouri River.
3. Blue Note downtown. Great local music venue. Frequently do outdoor concerts in the summer and fall.

There is a new area called the Arcade District. Logboat is there, 6 Mile Ordinary, The Biscuit, etc. They usually have live music on the weekends. Neat area to walk around if you are looking for good food and drink not necessarily all in the same building.
