re: Why do people still visit New Orleans when the city is getting worse?

I love going to the French Market, concerts, or certain bars and restaurants, I just go during the day. I wouldn't go down Bourbon at night, haven't in many years.

Been suspended since early May, first suspension I believe but not certain
He made a joke about an LSU recruit on the recruiting board, the one with a skin condition. Anyway, said something along the lines that the kid looked like he was eating arse when the girl sneezed. Ironically, the kid decomitted from the Tigers soon there after. I'm sure uncoincidentally
It's not his first time being a dumbass, but he says it was his first time being a dumbass on the recruiting board and vows to keep his vulgar comments on the OT. He's been a shell of himself all summer. Hates the life of a lurker instead of posting crappy memes and gifs in response to other people's posts. He wants back on the team for football season and is willing to run laps after practice.
I'm not kissing the admin's arses for him, but it's sad seeing a coworker tell me about things he reads on here, or that he wants me to comment in his stead. Please let the poor bastard back on.
Thanks

Damn, that was rough to watch. I don't really care if bro can't talk. Can he play?
This film study says yes LINK
Mad respect for him. I hope he shows out on the bigger stage here at LSU.

re: What would you do - encourage your child to have an extravagant wedding or take the money?
Posted by HondaBigRed on 8/3/23 at 9:44 am
It's definitely a money offer if you're having to pay for everything, which is traditionally the parents of the bride's duty. However, it's completely up to your little girl and her mother, and they usually have some fairytale make believe wedding fantasy that's going to break your retirement fund if you haven't been saving for it podnah.

Is this LSU's first trip to Columbia? Or just yours? If this is LSU's first trip to Missouri since they joined the conference then the schedulers have royally fricked up
This is LSU's first scheduled trip. The only other time we played there was a hurricane relocation that was scheduled that week, so no time to prepare and it's not like everyone from Louisiana was willing to leave their home and all their belongings during a storm, or were at least evacuating to other family's homes.
You're 100% correct. LSU has been an adamant opponent to the current scheduling format. Prior to expanding with Mizzou and A&M, you got to play in every stadium in the conference in a 4 year span. That's how it should be. 9 game schedule with 2 permanents would get us back to that at the very least. That's how it needs to be.

My PawPaw lived not far from the local primary school. The cafeteria used to put their food scraps in metal trash cans out back. He would go by every day and get the food scraps to slop his hogs and feed his hounds. Saved a lot on having to feed corn and buying feed.

Shiiiiidd, I still make cheese toast in the oven, cinnamon toast too. Leftover cornbread and milk was what was for either dessert or breakfast, depending on what time of day it was.

You realize EV owners pay for electricity just like everyone else and that the money you pay for electricity goes to a business that sells electricity and they can use that additional money to produce and deliver more electricity, right?
This shite makes me laugh at the naivete that some people have. You think they just make more electricity and more transmission lines instantaneously? When the California power grid is already having rolling blackouts, do you think it's not already at full capacity? Also, do you actually think the government will permit more power plants to be built? No, let's cover every square inch that isn't an open pit lithium mine in solar panels.

That's probably because their state government is banning gas/diesel engines. I'd move away before getting stuck with that bullshite.

You do realize that you can travel in either direction on a river, upstream and downstream? There's a reason nobody refers to left bank or right bank, because that's all dependent on which way you are traveling. It's ok to admit when you don't know what you are talking about instead speaking/typing and taking away all doubt.

re: Selling “the Illusion of Access”
Posted by HondaBigRed on 8/1/23 at 10:50 am
Just saying the spin of putting lipstick on this pig is pointless. The receipts have been shown, the proof is there which removed the illusion, trials and hangings is all that's left to be done.
re: Selling “the Illusion of Access”
Posted by HondaBigRed on 8/1/23 at 10:45 am
Even if Hunter was selling his name as "an illusion of access" to his father, he still received and gave big chunks of the money received to his dad, who was the sitting VP. That's a bribe from foreign nationals. It's still illegal. That also means Biden hid/laundered the money through Hunter's shell companies so that he didn't have to report it as campaign contributions. He also put those payments into accounts of names of other family members to hide the payments. It's a big ole steaming pile of corrupt bullshite, and they all need to go down for many crimes.
