1.71 million is from Arkansas.

Dude got insanely rich from being our worst coach in history. What a dumbass hire he was.

Don't blame the coach.

Blame the program.

Exactly. They knew what they were getting into changing from a team recruited for the pro set for decades to a spread offense... And gave him less than 2 years.

Hopefully Pittman will turn it around for them... He seems to be doing everything right.

I like it when Arkansas is a strong program. My comment isnt a knock against them. But the worst results in history are what they signed up for when they hired Morris, JUST LIKE Nebraska and Frost. Just like Auburn in 2012. But we were the opposite. Changing to a pro style with a team fully recruited for the spread. It was the worst season in our history and it cost the coach who had just won our 1st national championship in 50 years his job.

When you do a 180° and completely swap offensive philosophy, it takes YEARS to recruit the correct players for the new set.

Thats just how it is... Arkansas knew that going in but got cold feet. 1 recruiting class that wasnt even a full class of Morris players is unequivocally not enough time. Period.

But like i said... Heres to hoping Pittman can turn it around for Arkansas...

When coaching for Dabo yes. Nothing indicates that when he’s coached away from Dabo.

Consider me a skeptic with anything Gus related... he may turn out fine, but I doubt it...

That's almost as bad as the A&M AD is with athletic contracts

Agreed, not even Bobby Petrino could get Arkansas to 10 wins.

Ask Bielema how his AR buyout is going.

LSU adapted to the spread pretty well in 1 year I'd say. Think it has more to do with Morris being over his head and the fact that Arkys recruited kids just weren't that good or developed.
We did the same, obviously with a different level of success going from recruiting for a 4-3 for decades to switching to a 3-4. We just now have the personnel for a 3-4 and are switching back. Hopefully it works out. Personally believe the defensive differences in personnel are far greater than offensive personnel. Offensive personnel are typically adaptable to any scheme.

The SEC ain't a charity case. We gave him absolutely every single opportunity for a third year and he fricked it up...really about as badly as you possibly can. The team gave up on him and you could tell on social media that most of them were relieved to see him go.

Sames. I'm ready to see more of this, just on someone else's team.

Literally no other coach in the history of the program was that bad. Ever.

It was the coach.
