Congrats, piggies. Legitimately happy for you.

I wish Mississippi State would take note.

I have a Stoops you can have. Cheap. Only caveat is you must take our offensive coordinator with him.

Stoops is the best coach you guys have had in my lifetime.

I was wondering when I would see this. You cannot lose to San Jose State, be blown out by MSST in conference, and then get blown out by WKY at home and expect to keep your job in the SEC. That doesn't even begin to scratch the beatdowns that ARK has taken the past 2 years from AUB, BAMA, and LSU.

Candy is the only school in the league that can get away with that type of play and think about keeping a coach. Even then, I don't think even they would. This is the worst SEC team I've seen in my life.

I thought he'd be more successful and he's
at least partially responsible for some of
the players left at SMU.Arky was an obvious disaster but he'll get snatched up
by somebody who needs an OC.

This was his biggest problem here imo. He did the opposite of Gus and refused to take over play calling even though his OC was clearly in over his head.

They will get a reject, unless they fully guarantee the next contract for at least four years or more. Nobody is going to take on that rebuilding job with such a short leash.

This is the dumbest, most low-IQ narrative out there. Nobody and I mean nobody is going to be hesitant to take a job because the previous one was fired in his second year. It's all about the product on the field. Morris didn't get fired for losing. He got fired because the program is going backward and there's no improvement in sight.

Its easy to fire a coach and write a check. Finding a quality coach willing to potentially sabotage his career at arky will be a challenge. The limitations in the program and the headwinds of playing in the SEC west are daunting. It will take another large guarantee to make it happen. Endless cycle.

I know quite a few of the Arkansas boosters ... you will be disappointed, unless Norvell decides to take on the challenge

This makes me laugh. If a coach came in next year and won 4 games hed be a god.

In his final three SEC games as head coach, Arkansas was beaten by an average of 37 points. Some of the worst losses in recent decades happened under Morris' watch as the Hogs blew an 18-point lead at Colorado State, was blown out at home by North Texas (44-17) in 2018 and then lost to San Jose State and a lopsided 45-19 defeat against Western Kentucky this season.

Morris was hired in Dec., 2017 to replace Bret Bielema but the majority of the athletic department who did the leg work to bring Morris in has since left, including Julie Cromer-Peoples who was the acting athletics director at the time of Bielema's firing and right until the final week before Morris was hired. Current Arkansas athletics director Hunter Yurachek was hired just two days before Morris was announced as the Razorbacks new coach.
