LSU will be in a similar boat with Ed O. Like 2010 Auburn, 2019 lsu is an anomaly.

Does arkansas have any legit shot at poaching a P5 coach? Or will they go to one of the G5 up and comers? What about a coordinator at a current powerhouse?

Supposedly they would still like to poach Mahlzahn from Auburn - that's a power move that I could get behind. It's much better than the other currently talked about candidates.

And the boosters have money

If Auburn loses to UGA and Bama, I could 100% see Gus ending up at Arkansas.

I'll preface this by saying I like Gus. He runs a great program. AU fans don't appreciate that from the mess Tubs and Chiz made. But at this point, AU would probably help him transition over. Gus may not ever win a title at Arky, but he would establish a great foundation. My main concern if I were Arky is Gus is a Defensive guy. It is the main criticism from AU fans. Would he have access to elite DLmen like he does at AU? Auburn's campus sets in probably the most fertile recruiting ground in the country for DLmen, so he wouldn't have that resource anymore.

Honesly, yeah. I've got to imagine Leach, Rhule, Campbell and a few other P5 coaches would seriously listen.
As far as coordinators go, I could see Sarkisian or a few others asking, if they're interested.
Just gotta find the right fit.

Rhule

He just signed a contract extension through 2028. Don't know how much he makes, but I'd imagine it's in the $4m a year range. Only way he is leaving Baylor is for an NFL job.

No we dont. At least the smart fans dont. Some dumbass booster might, but hopefully Hunter doesnt let this happen. Gus is a perinneal under-achiever and a scumbag. Gus can GFH.

Campbell isn't interested - has his eyes on NFL
Rhule - the same

Most of the X's and O's coaches would prefer the NFL in the long run. Recruiting, and the incredible grind associated, is not for everyone

Your boosters do. Fans have no say in the matter ...

That's the least of my concerns. It's more that he has a cult following among some at Arky and the politics of getting rid of him if he doesn't achieve will be awful. It'll be the Houston Nutt fiasco x1000.

Didn’t want to start a thread on this, so I’ll just place this question here.

Does anyone else think Chad looks transgender?

Possibly. I think he would do well there. However, he reverted to old Saban, and the game has progressed. That's the main grip against him.

His eyes are too close together. Homeboy looks like he should be playing banjo down by the river.
